Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 Saddle and Mount Rewards
Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 is an achievement for reaching a 3600 Mythic+ rating that grants the title The Venomous Contender and the Warband-bound token Timelost Saddle. The token itself does not teach you a mount. You get it from Lindormi through a quest and exchange it with her for one of 22 mounts. Among these rewards are two new options from the Carrion family and all mounts from the old pool.
The tokens from both Midnight seasons share the same name: Timelost Saddle. Their rating threshold and the title in the Keystone Myth achievement description set them apart. You must exchange the current saddle for a mount by the end of Season 2, as that is when the expiration date in this item’s tooltip takes effect. Lindormi handles this exchange in Silvermoon or the Timeways.
Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 Requirements
The Keystone Myth achievement for Midnight Season 2 requires a Mythic+ rating of at least 3600 from keys in the dungeon pool, including those from Murder Row in Silvermoon itself. Blizzard reintroduced it in the October patch 12.1.5 with a different threshold and different rewards:
| Parameter | Season 2 | Season 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Achievement | Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 | Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 1 |
| Mythic+ Rating | 3600 | 3400 |
| Title | The Venomous Contender | The Umbral Contender |
| Token | Timelost Saddle | Timelost Saddle |
| Pool Size | 22 mounts | 20 mounts |
| New Pool Options | Two Carrion | Six 12.0.5 variants |
| Patch | 12.1.5 | 12.0.5 |
The 3400 threshold and the title The Umbral Contender are unrelated to the current achievement. It checks a single metric (a rating of 3600) and does not specify a number of runs or a required key level for each of the eight dungeons in the pool. Blizzard matched the 3600 threshold to current rating data, Mythic+ difficulty, and rewards for the second half of the season.
Claiming the Timelost Saddle
The Season 2 Timelost Saddle comes to you as a reward for a quest from Lindormi. Each of the seven steps (from the rating to the new mount in your collection) has its own in-game object and place in the chain:
- Rating 3600 - You earn rating points from Mythic+ runs in the eight Season 2 dungeons. The achievement unlocks once your rating reaches the required threshold.
- Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 - The game gives the first reward (the title The Venomous Contender) along with this achievement and unlocks the quest for the saddle. Progress toward this achievement applies to your entire account.
- Accolades for the Venomous Contender - Accolades for the Venomous Contender is an auto-accept quest. Both the Alliance and the Horde receive it from the same NPC, Lindormi.
- Talk to Lindormi - The quest asks you to speak with her about your exploits in Mythic Keystone dungeons. Its reward goes into your character’s bags after this conversation.
- Timelost Saddle - This Timelost Saddle carries the Binds to Warband tag and belongs to your account’s entire Warband. You can transfer it to another character in that Warband via the Warband Bank.
- Trading with Lindormi - Each mount on her list costs one Timelost Saddle. You make your selection in the vendor window, just like with any other NPC that sells goods.
- Unlocking a Mount - Lindormi sells each mount on her list as a bag item. The game adds the mount to your collection when you use this item from your bag.
Accolades for the Venomous Contender requires a level 90 character. The game does not let you share it with other players in your group. That's why each player with the Keystone Myth achievement must speak to Lindormi on their own level 90 character and receive their own token.
Lindormi in Silvermoon and the Timeways
The Timelost Saddle tooltip mentions Lindormi in Silvermoon or the Timeways. Blizzard has placed this NPC on the first level of The Bazaar district in Silvermoon, next to the (8) Portal to the Timeways marker on the city map. The Bazaar is a public area of the city accessible to both the Alliance and the Horde. Orbs of Translocation teleport players between the different levels of this district. Lindormi with the Mythic Keystones title also reduces the key level for players.
The portal itself allows level 90 characters to enter, just like the quest for the saddle. It takes you to the Timeways (the second exchange location in the tooltip). Lindormi also appears at the end of dungeons after Mythic+ keys. The tooltip for the current Timelost Saddle does not specify these dungeons or the capitals of Valdrakken and Dornogal (where Lindormi also stands) as exchange locations. This portal (8) in The Bazaar area is your point of reference in Silvermoon.
Eligible Mounts Before the Saddle Expires
Lindormi’s current exchange list includes 22 mounts from past Keystone Master and Legend rewards and from Patch 12.0.5 of the Midnight expansion. The mounts in the pool belong to families that share a common word in their names:
| Family | Variants | Expansion | Origin | New to the Pool |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Carrion | Convalescent | Midnight | Keystone Legend | Yes |
| Carrion | Calamitous | Midnight | Keystone Master | Yes |
| Shreddertank | Speculative, High-Yield, Profit-Green, Blue-Chip | Midnight | Keystone Myth Pool | No |
| Shreddertank | Enterprising, Crimson | The War Within | Keystone Legend and Master | No |
| Mechsuit | Amethyst | Midnight | Keystone Myth Pool | No |
| Mechsuit | Diamond | The War Within | Keystone Master | No |
| Deathwalker | Cerulean | Midnight | Keystone Myth Pool | No |
| Deathwalker | Sintouched, Soultwisted, Wastewarped, Restoration | Shadowlands | Keystone Master | No |
| Armoredon | Hailstorm, Inferno, Verdant, Infinite | Dragonflight | Keystone Master | No |
| Void Flyer | Azure | The War Within | Keystone Master | No |
| Void Flyer | Scarlet | The War Within | Keystone Legend | No |
| Mindborer | Awakened | Battle for Azeroth | Keystone Master | No |
The Timelost Saddle tooltip sets the item’s duration until the end of the season. This duration does not affect mounts in your Mount Journal. We recommend not waiting until the final weeks to exchange it, as Blizzard has not yet announced the exact end date of the season.
New Carrion Options and Returning Mounts
Convalescent Carrion and Calamitous Carrion joined the saddle pool as new Season 2 options. Blizzard added both birds to the game back in Patch 12.0.0 as rewards for Keystone Master and Legend in Midnight Season 1. That's why you cannot call them new Season 2 models. The old mount pool consisted of 20 mounts without these two birds. Calamitous Carrion has dark plumage with a green glow, unlike the light-colored Convalescent Carrion.
The remaining 20 mounts have returned to the current pool with the same names. Their pages in the item databases show the price in both saddles (the old one and the current one). This entry reflects the history of the pool and does not require a second saddle from you for a single purchase. Neither the Timelost Saddle tooltip nor the Accolades for the Venomous Contender quest describes selecting a mount that is already in your collection. That's why you need to compare the current Lindormi list with your Mount Journal before the exchange.
Missing Rewards and Eligibility Checks
You look for a missing Season 2 reward along the same chain of achievements, quests, and items that the game uses to award it. The eligibility check consists of seven points from the rating threshold to the saddle for an alt:
- Rating Threshold - The game gives the achievement for reaching a Mythic+ rating of at least 3600 this season. Points from the previous season do not count toward this threshold.
- Achievement Version - The correct version is Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 and sits in the Feats of Strength category. Blizzard fixed the issue with the Season 1 version in the Americas and Oceania regions on April 24.
- The Venomous Contender title - This reward comes with the achievement and is not dependent on the quest. The title in your title list confirms that you have the required achievement.
- Quest from Lindormi - Characters below level 90 do not receive the Accolades for the Venomous Contender quest. Speaking with Lindormi about your feats in Mythic+ keys completes this quest and grants you the saddle.
- Token in your bags - The tooltip for the new Timelost Saddle mentions the Keystone Myth achievement and the exchange location at Lindormi. An item with the same name is from Season 1.
- Exchange List - Breath of Blight and Breath of Ruin are not on Lindormi’s list. The game awards these mounts for Keystone Master and Legend in the same season at ratings of 2000 and 3000.
- Saddle for an alt - Blizzard announced a limit of one saddle per Warband per season for Season 1. We advise against planning for a second Timelost Saddle for an alt, because the description of the current Keystone Myth achievement and quest does not mention such a limit.
You’ll be raising the rating from the first point in Mythic+ keys until the very end of the season. The remaining points depend on the quest, the item, and Lindormi’s list. Our team will help you reach a rating of 3600 through our WoW boost services if the initial check shows that your character is short on points.
