That’s how you naturally unlock (and level up) Shepherd in Delta Force. It’s a long process – you might have to play dozens of matches to complete everything. If that sounds like too much work, that’s why we have Shepherd boost.

When leveling Shepherd as fast as possible, strategy and efficiency are key. In Delta Force: Hawk Ops, each operator rank-up has a set of challenges (usually 5-6 tasks mixing PvP and PvE objectives), and you only need to complete 3 tasks to progress to the next level​. You have some choice in which objectives to complete. To maximize speed:

• Pick the easy challenges: Survey all available tasks for the level and choose the ones you can finish quickest. For example, if one challenge is “win 3 Warfare matches” and another is “kill 20 enemies in Operations mode,” you might choose the PvE kills since you can get those quicker solo.
• Use Shepherd’s strengths: Focus on tasks that play to Shepherd’s kit. If there’s a challenge to slow enemies, spam your Sonic UAV and traps in areas with lots of enemies. If a task requires vehicle repairs or explosive kills, make sure to use Shepherd’s repair tool on every damaged vehicle you find and throw grenades whenever possible to hit multiple enemies.
• Choose the right mode: Some objectives are easier in one mode versus the other. Don’t be afraid to jump into Operations (PvE) for challenges like killing or using gadgets, where enemy AI is predictable. Conversely, do PvP matches for goals like winning rounds or getting headshots if you’re confident, or if the PvE alternative is slower.
