• Play on the highest difficulty you can handle: Mission difficulty in Helldivers 2 affects Sample drops. Higher difficulties not only increase the number of Samples on the map but also unlock the rarer types (Rare and Super) that don’t appear in easy mode.
• Focus on specific mission types: Not all missions are equal for farming. Search & Destroy missions (especially the Blitz version) are a favorite for farming because they’re quick (~10-12 minutes) and often have plenty of Samples on the map.

For example, bring a heavy Area-of-Effect weapon or stratagem (like the Eagle 500KG Bomb or a flamethrower) to clear clusters of enemies or destroy objective targets fast.
• Stay alive and extract smartly: This sounds obvious but remember that an extraction failure means no rares. During a farming run, prioritize survival once you’ve picked up the available Samples. Use defensive stratagems (like turrets or shields) when calling the extract shuttle and stay together.
