Alanna's Embrace Healer Robe Stats
The robe from the lich Ras in Classic had an ilvl of 62 and 96 armor. It provided +20 each to Intellect, Spirit, and Stamina. The Equip effect added another +20 to the damage and healing of all spells, from a Priest's Flash Heal to a Mage's Frostbolt. This allowed its owner to heal for more and for longer in every fight. That stat set made this item the BiS choice for healers back then.
Blizzard has changed the stat rules for healers in World of Warcraft Forever. The healing bonus now also gives one-third of its value as spell damage. Your Smite, Wrath, or Lightning Bolt deals more damage thanks to this. Some T0 items in Forever no longer have Spirit. We recommend comparing the tooltip for this item in-game with your class's T0 chest piece.
Ras Frostwhisper Loot in Scholomance
The main reason to fight the lich in Forever is still his loot. His quest chain no longer grants Classic rewards. The lich's Frostbolt Volley in Forever also deals more damage to the entire group than in Classic. Our team will complete this fight alongside your character. You won't have to spend your evenings wiping on this spell.
The Classic loot table for the lich also included other items:
The robe itself had a drop rate of around 2% in Classic. Our “until drop” option continues the run to the boss on your character until the epic item appears in your bags after the next kill. This format saves you from having to count failed attempts. It suits healers who need gear for the Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit raids.
Best Healers for Alanna's Embrace
We consider the Priest to be the top pick for this chest piece. Priests received cloth healer gear before other classes in Classic. This class does not wear leather, mail, or plate armor. That's why a cloth chest piece with a healing bonus is more important for a Priest than for a Druid, Paladin, or Shaman, who have their own armor types.
