WoW Forever Attunements & Dungeon Keys

WoW Forever Attunements & Dungeon Keys is a set of quest chains and key items for your character. They unlock the 40-player Onyxia’s Lair raid and passages in eight dungeons. Each chain ends with an item in your bag. Our boosters complete these chains with your character, from the first NPC to the final reward.

WoW Forever Attunements FAQ

Is Drakefire Amulet Account Wide in Forever?

The amulet does not transfer to other characters on the account. It stays with the character who completed the chain. Each of your alts needs its own chain. We’ll boost such an alt via a separate order from the first Alliance or Horde quest all the way to General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire.

Do Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Need Attunement?

Neither of these raids requires a quest chain to enter. Hyjal Summit at the World Tree Nordrassil features 13 bosses for a 20-player group. This raid drops new tier sets. Barrow Deeps is a ten-player raid with eight bosses.

Can I Play Alongside the Boosters?

The self-play format allows you to complete WoW Forever boost with your character alongside our boosters. Pilot mode suits players who don’t have enough time for elite quests. A pilot booster completes all quests, dungeons, and fights of the chain on your character. The chain reward remains in your bag.

Is the Amulet Enough for Onyxia?

The game lets your character enter Onyxia’s Lair with just the amulet in your bag. Onyxia’s three-phase fight deals heavy fire damage to all 40 raid members and forces players to change positions. That’s why Blizzard recommends gathering gear with Fire Resistance before the first pull. The amulet itself gives +15 Fire Resistance.

Do Region and Ruleset Matter?

You specify the region, ruleset, and faction when you place a boost order. Characters in Forever do not switch between rulesets or factions. Each region (US, including Oceania, and EU) has a single shared world for each ruleset from Normal to Hardcore.

Players order WoW Forever boost for these chains because of their length. The path to Onyxia’s Lair includes elite quests and several runs through high-level dungeons. Our team assembles a group for each of these runs. You won’t have to look for players for the elite quests in the chain.

World of Warcraft Forever Attunement Services

ChaosBoost boosters complete any Forever access chain for you. The game ties this access to your character rather than your account. This category covers the Onyxia’s Lair raid, the new City of Dalaran dungeon, and Classic instances. It includes four types of services:

  • Onyxia Attunement - the longest boost in this category with level 60 elite quests. Completing it rewards you with Drakefire Amulet, which you need to enter the raid.
  • City of Dalaran Attunement - both factions receive a Dalaran Sewer Key at the end of their quest chains. The owner of this item unlocks the entrance to the level 28–33 dungeon for the entire group.
  • Individual Keys - a boost for a single item, such as the Shadowforge Key for BRD. This option suits players who need access to one instance for farming or quests.
  • All Dungeon Keys - all access items from Classic dungeons on a single character. Our boosters collect them in one order.

Our attunement boost adapts to your progress. You can choose the entire chain or just the remaining part when you place a boost order. The team continues the chain from the quest where your character left off. This allows you to start the boost at any step in the chain.

WoW Classic Dungeon Keys in Forever

Classic keys work in Forever just as they do in WoW Classic. They unlock the same doors and shortcuts in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor dungeons. A ChaosBoost booster will get eight access items for your character:

KeyDungeonHow to ObtainApproximate Level
Shadowforge KeyBlackrock DepthsDark Iron Legacy quest52–60
Skeleton KeyScholomancequest chain in the Western Plaguelands58–60
Crescent KeyDire Mauldrop from Pusillin54–60
Scepter of CelebrasMaraudonLegends of Maraudon quest46–55
Scarlet KeyScarlet MonasteryDoan’s Strongbox33+
Key to the CityStratholmedrop from Magistrate Barthilas58–60
Seal of AscensionUpper Blackrock Spirequest from Vaelan59–60
Dalaran Sewer KeyCity of DalaranHeart of Disruption quest28–33

One key holder is enough for the group to open most of these doors. This player unlocks the passage for all run participants. We still recommend obtaining your own copy via a boost. A group without a key holder wastes time searching for the right player before every run to Scholomance, Stratholme, or Upper Blackrock Spire. Your own key will save you from having to look for one.

UBRS Key and Seal of Ascension

Seal of Ascension opens the door to Upper Blackrock Spire, where both factions complete the final step of Onyxia attunement against General Drakkisath. The path to the seal began with the Unadorned Seal from LBRS in WoW Classic. Vaelan accepted this item along with three gemstones from LBRS bosses. ChaosBoost boosters bring a player with the seal to the final step. You don’t need to find such a player for the amulet quest.

Scholomance Key and Shadowforge Key

The Skeleton Key gives the character access to Scholomance. Players receive it at the end of a quest chain in the Western Plaguelands. The Dark Iron Legacy quest rewards the Shadowforge Key after a run through BRD to retrieve the Ironfel hammer. This key unlocks the Shadowforge Gates and the East Garrison door inside Blackrock Depths. It shortens the group’s path to the Grim Guzzler and other parts of the dungeon.

Onyxia Attunement for Alliance and Horde

The Alliance and Horde receive Drakefire Amulet through two different chains. Both chains require level 60 and include elite quests. Each chain takes the player through the Blackrock Mountain dungeons several times, from Blackrock Depths to Upper Blackrock Spire. Blizzard recommends starting these chains early. Our team of boosters guides your character through the main steps of both chains:

  • Helendis Riverhorn in the Burning Steppes (Alliance)
  • Jail Break! in Blackrock Depths (Alliance)
  • The Great Masquerade in Stormwind (Alliance)
  • Warlord’s Command in LBRS (Horde)
  • Test of Skulls from Emberstrife (Horde)
  • General Drakkisath in UBRS (both factions)

The final quest for both factions requires the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion. But the Horde’s path to the amulet is longer than the Alliance’s. Players of this faction must also complete For the Horde! to defeat Rend Blackhand. Then they must find Rexxar in Desolace and Myranda the Hag in the Western Plaguelands. We consider attunement boost to be more advantageous for the Horde because its path requires four fights with dragons.

WoW Classic Attunements Compared to Forever

Two of the three raids in Forever (Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit) do not require an attunement. Any level 60 character can enter them without a quest chain. But Blizzard added an attunement in Forever for the new City of Dalaran dungeon. The Alliance receives access to it through two quests that start with An Alarming Request in Southshore. Horde players begin their chain in Tarren Mill with Prison Break In and then complete Dalaran Patrols and Blood in the Streets before Heart of Disruption.

Blizzard has retained some of the rules of WoW Classic attunements in Forever. Onyxia’s Lair still checks for the amulet in the bag of each of the 40 raid members at the cave entrance in Dustwallow Marsh. A rogue with Lockpicking 175 can also open the Scarlet Monastery doors without the item from Doan’s Strongbox. This saves the group a separate run to obtain that item.
