Cape of the Black Baron Stats
Blizzard ported the armor and bonuses of this cape from Classic to World of Warcraft Forever without any changes. This blue (rare) item has an ilvl of 63 and a level requirement of 58. It gives the character armor and two stats for physical damage:
- Armor 45
- Agility +15
- Attack Power +20
A general Forever rule combines hit and crit into a single stat. This cloak’s tooltip contains neither hit nor crit. That's why the item still boosts physical damage through Agility and Attack Power. This allows you to evaluate it by Classic standards.
Pre-Raid BiS Cloak for Melee
Warriors, Rogues, and Hunters wore the Baron’s cloak as their BiS in Classic. The item’s stats in Forever are the same. That's why we believe it retains its role as BiS for the Back slot for melee classes until the first raid in the new version of the game too.
Many players farm this boss in random groups. The cloak might go to another Rogue or Hunter via a Need roll there. Our team of Rank 1 boosters does not roll for loot in any run on your character (from the first attempt to the last). Every cloak drop in your order goes to you.
Baron Rivendare Runs in Stratholme
A run on the Baron takes our team 30–45 minutes. The drop rate for the cloak in Classic is around 15% per kill. Lack of a lockout allows us to make several attempts for you in a single evening. You won’t have to spend your own time on these attempts. The Undead side in Forever consists of four parts:
- Level range 58–60
- A chain of seven bosses
- A rare mob along the route
- The Dead Man's Plea quest with a timer
The Dead Man's Plea quest gives the group 45 minutes to reach the Baron. Ysida's Satchel for completing it no longer grants Argent Dawn reputation in Forever. We don’t see the timer affect the drop chance, because the Baron drops loot even in runs without this quest.
