Legacy Points for an Onyxia Kill
A victory over Onyxia adds one Legacy point to your Battle.net account's shared pool. This point is available to all your alts and your main character outside of the Hardcore ruleset. The game awards WoW Forever Conqueror of the Lair for the first Onyxia kill on any character. You won't have to repeat the raid on every alt in World of Warcraft Forever. The Raids category in the Legacy window contains three challenges:
- Conqueror of the Lair - the game credits it for one boss in a 40-player raid.
- Conqueror of the Deeps - Barrow Deeps requires a group of ten players to defeat eight bosses.
- Conqueror of the Wilds - here a 20-player raid clears all 13 bosses in Hyjal Summit.
Legacy points from all categories accumulate in your account's total score. This total unlocks a toy at 15 points. The main reward for the Legacy track is the Reins of the Spectral Bear mount for 55 points. One Onyxia kill brings you one point closer to this mount. Another use for these points is to unlock perks for each character in the Professions, Adventure, and Resourcefulness trees.
Onyxia Attunement and Drakefire Amulet
The Drakefire Amulet is a personal key to Onyxia's Lair for a level 60 character. Alliance players begin the attunement quest chain with Helendis Riverhorn in the Burning Steppes. Horde players accept the first quest from Warlord Goretooth in Kargath (Badlands). Both quest lines end at Upper Blackrock Spire, where you obtain General Drakkisath's blood and exchange it for the finished amulet from your faction's NPC. Your character must complete their branch before the Conqueror of the Lair run.
Fastest of the Raid Legacy Challenges
WoW Forever Conqueror of the Lair is the fastest of the three raid challenges in the Legacy system. The entire run in Wyrmbog (southern Dustwallow Marsh) consists of a single three-phase fight against Onyxia. Blizzard recommends that a 40-player raid build up fire resistance before this fight. Our team runs this WoW Forever boost with a pre-assembled group. You won't have to gather 40 players just for a single kill.
