Defias Leather Set Bonuses in Forever
Blizzard has reworked this set’s bonuses for Forever. The new version includes bonuses from Classic: +5 Arcane Resistance and +1 to the Daggers skill. It now gives Attack Power against humanoids and a bleed effect on attacks from behind, which have replaced the classic +10 Armor and +10 Attack Power. This allows the rogue to stack bonuses for their melee damage. The tooltip for Forever shows four bonus tiers:
| Bonus | Pieces | Effect | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arcane Resistance | 2 | +5 | - |
| Attack Power | 3 | +15 | versus humanoids |
| Bleeding for 5 sec | 4 | 68-83 damage | 5% on attacks from behind |
| Daggers skill | 5 | +1 | - |
Items in this set have an ilvl of 19 to 22. The chest and belt are at the top tier with an ilvl of 22 and require the character to be level 17. Leggings and Gloves have an ilvl of 19 and a level 14 requirement. That's why a rogue collects the five-piece bonus at level 17.
Blackened Defias Armor and Other Pieces
The set consists of five blue (rare) pieces with different bindings. Its chest piece was BoP in Classic as well. Blizzard changed to BoP three more pieces (Belt, Boots, and Leggings), which players in Classic used to buy on the auction house as BoE. The Gloves in Forever retained their BoE bind. Each piece drops in the dungeon from its own source:
- Armor - a 22 ilvl chest piece with +10 Stamina. The drop chance in Classic from Edwin VanCleef (the dungeon’s final boss) was 15%.
- Belt - Captain Greenskin drops this belt with +18 Attack Power. Its drop rate in Classic reached 26%.
- Boots - the rarest piece, with a 2% drop rate in Classic. These boots give +6 Agility and +4 Stamina.
- Gloves - common mobs drop these gloves with a 3% drop rate in Classic. Their stats are +6 Strength and +2 Stamina.
- Leggings - leggings with +6 Strength and +6 Agility from trash mobs. Their drop rate in Classic is also 3%.
Items from trash mobs require the most dungeon runs. Each run by our team gives you a chance to get these items, as well as the chest and belt from bosses. You won’t have to find a group for a new run for every single item. That’s why we recommend getting all five pieces in a single order.
Why Rogues Farm Deadmines Set
A rogue gets more out of farming this set than a druid or hunter. The bonus against humanoids adds 15 Attack Power in fights against Defias and goblins. We consider the bleed effect from the four-piece set to be the main effect, because in a group, the rogue stabs the target from behind with a dagger on every boss. That same dagger benefits from the +1 to the Daggers skill from the five-piece set. Druids and hunters also wear Defias gear from level 17 for the Agility.
