Flurry Axe Stats in WoW Classic and Forever
Flurry Axe is an epic one-handed axe that is BoE (Binds when equipped). It grants the player a chance for an extra attack with every strike. Damage, speed, and this proc determine the weapon’s power, as it provides no bonuses to Strength, Agility, or Stamina. The Forever tooltip lists the following stats:
- Damage 37–69
- Speed 1.50
- DPS 35.33
- Chance on hit for an extra attack
- Item Level 47
- Minimum Level 42
Blizzard has revised the world epics in World of Warcraft Forever and removed weak items from the drop list. The axe passed this revision with the same stats as in WoW Classic. This allows Classic players to pick up a familiar weapon in Forever. We believe it didn’t need any adjustments due to its strong Chance on hit effect. Another world epic (Bow of Searing Arrows) received a stronger Searing Arrow proc in Forever with 23–33 Fire damage instead of 18–26 in Classic.
Where the Axe Drops in Azeroth
The axe drops from regular mobs around levels 40–50 throughout Azeroth. No boss has this weapon in its loot table. The drop rate in Classic never exceeded 0.02% per mob, even from top targets like Dark Iron Steamsmith in Searing Gorge and Haldarr Felsworn in Azshara. Our team takes care of farming these mobs and works until the item drops. You won’t have to take a break from leveling for a long grind.
Best Classes for an Extra Attack Weapon
The axe suits warriors and rogues from level 42. Shamans and hunters can also use it in melee fights. Rogues gained access to one-handed axes in Forever. The Hack and Slash talent from the Combat tree gives this weapon type a chance for an extra attack, similar to the old Sword Specialization from Classic. That's why a Combat rogue with this epic weapon gains two sources of extra attacks.
We see the main benefit of the proc in leveling up to level 50. Blizzard has reduced the experience from mobs in Forever dungeons. So a character between levels 42 and 50 levels up by doing quests in the zones of Azeroth. The extra strike shortens every fight with a quest mob there. A warrior gains both damage and rage from such a hit.
