Ghostpaw Alpha Location in Ashenvale
Ghostpaw Alpha is a level 27-28 wolf from the eastern half of the zone. This beast spawns at dozens of locations there. Our booster will check these locations on your character, either as a pilot or alongside your hunter. You won’t have to search the entire eastern half of the zone for the beast.
The spawn points lie on the map between X-coordinates 54 and 79. Their range extends along the Y-axis between 35 and 71. The taming process starts when the wolf appears at one of these points.
Ghostpaw Alpha is a Normal mob. This wolf is not among rare hunter pets. The time it takes to find it depends on its respawn rate. We believe this wolf is easier to find than most rare beasts because it has dozens of spawn points.
Ghostpaw Alpha in WoW Classic and Forever
WoW Forever Ghostpaw Alpha is the same Normal wolf as in Classic. Blizzard ported this NPC to World of Warcraft Forever without a single change. Its tooltip, level (27-28), and family (Wolf) remain the same. You won’t have to get used to a new beast after Classic.
A rare wolf in the zone is Mist Howler from its western half. This level 22 wolf is among rare hunter pets.
Hunters couldn’t tame beasts higher than their character level in Classic. The Tame Beast ability carried over to Forever unchanged, along with this rule. That's why a level 28 spawn requires your hunter to be at least level 28, regardless of the order option you choose.
WoW Forever hunter pets now have avoidance. They no longer receive buffs from other classes. Each family now has at least one unique ability. This ability is Furious Howl for wolves.
The Classic version of Furious Howl boosted the party’s next physical attack for 10 seconds. Furious Howl gives melee attack power to the entire group or raid within a 15-yard radius for 1 minute in Forever. This allows your wolf to buff any group with melee classes.
Ghostpaw Alpha Taming Boost also offers the option for ability training and Beast Lore. Hunters learn Beast Lore at level 24. This spell’s tooltip displays the target beast’s damage, health, and diet. We recommend feeding your wolf meat in the first few minutes after taming, because Tame Beast leaves the new pet unhappy and disloyal.
