Headmaster's Charge Intellect Buff
The staff's Use effect in Classic gave +20 Intellect to every party member within a 30-yard radius. Its buff from a single use lasted 15 minutes. The cooldown for this effect ended after 10 minutes. That's why a single wielder could maintain the +20 Intellect buff on the entire party from the first pull to the final boss. This bonus stacked with the mage's Arcane Intellect.
Many casters in Classic would swap the staff for a different weapon after the buff. But the game removed the buff from all five party members the moment the owner stowed it in their bag. We recommend keeping this two-handed weapon in hand until the end of the dungeon. So the party will retain the +20 Intellect for the entire clear.
Darkmaster Gandling Loot and Tier 0 Helms
Gandling is the final boss of Scholomance for levels 58–60 and the main source of loot for casters. The chance for the staff from him in Classic was 1.86% per kill. That's why players buy runs from our team so they don't have to spend their evenings searching for a group and clearing the dungeon in 75–105 minutes. The same boss in Classic also gave Witchblade, which provides a spell damage bonus. His loot includes five T0 helms for caster classes:
- Magister's Crown for mages
- Dreadmist Mask for warlocks
- Devout Crown for priests
- Wildheart Cowl for druids
- Coif of Elements for shamans
T0 sets in Forever give a new bonus for each piece from the second through the sixth. This allows you to strengthen your character with each new set piece. Nine more Scholomance bosses give one piece each for different classes, from Boots of Valor for warriors to Magister's Mantle for mages. A third of the healing bonus in Forever also applies to spell damage. That's why Devout Crown gives up to 20 healing and up to 7 damage.
Best Classes for Headmaster's Charge
Five classes equip this caster staff in the two-handed weapon slot. Mages, priests, and druids take it for the +20 Intellect benefit for the entire group. Shamans also need the two-hander's damage (58.45 DPS in Classic). We consider this staff the best choice for a warlock because the +30 Stamina gives them more health for Life Tap during long dungeon fights and raids.
