Hurricane Bow Rework in WoW Forever
Blizzard revealed its Hurricane bow rework at BlizzCon. The bow appeared on a slide about world epics during the Deep Dive panel on World of Warcraft Forever. Skullflame Shield and Stonerender Gauntlets sat on the same slide. Developers have reworked all world epics and made them stronger. The bow's card listed three main stats:
- Epic quality
- Level 48 requirement
- 6-11 Frost damage with each auto-attack
Frost damage depended on a proc chance in the old version in WoW Classic. Blizzard removed this chance from the Forever version. The Hunter receives Frost damage with every auto-attack, from the first pull all the way to finishing off the target. That's why Frost damage no longer depends on luck. We believe the new mechanic is more useful than the old one.
Where to Farm Hurricane Bow
Hurricane bow drops from level 45-55 mobs throughout Azeroth. This BoE world drop does not have its own boss or dungeon. The drop rate for the level 48 bow was 0.01% in Classic. Our team farms mobs in this range across various zones on your rule set and for your faction until the item you need drops. You won't have to spend your in-game time on this farming.
Frost Damage Bow for Hunters
Hunters can get Frost damage from Hurricane bow at level 48 and above. The previous world bow (Bow of Searing Arrows) requires level 37. It deals 47-88 damage per shot. The new bow replaces it in the Hunter's ranged slot during the final stage of leveling up to the cap of 60 in quests and dungeons.
Blizzard keeps a solo fight against a mob at about 15 seconds. We believe that the Frost damage from each auto-attack shortens this fight. This effect works both while you level and when you farm level 45-55 mobs. It allows the Hunter to spend less time on each target.
