How Long Does Marks of Honor Farm Take?

Marks of Honor for PvP Gear and Reputation

Battleground Marks are the currency of the four Forever battlegrounds. Players spend them on certain PvP gear along with Honor. This currency also goes to reputation and experience quests from Alliance Brigadier General and Horde Warbringer NPCs outside the battlegrounds. These quests vary in price and reward.

The game binds marks to your character upon receipt. That's why you cannot buy them on the auction house. Our team farms this currency on the character who will spend it on PvP items and faction quests. You won’t have to find a group for every BG queue.

Alterac Valley Mark of Honor Uses

Players turn in AV currency from 40v40 fights for the quests “Remember Alterac Valley!” or “Invaders of Alterac Valley.” Each of these quests increases Stormpike Guard or Frostwolf Clan reputation for three marks. Concerted Efforts and For Great Honor allow you to turn in AV marks alongside WSG and AB marks. Our premade group leads characters level 51 and up into AV. Reaching Exalted reputation with an AV faction grants your account a Legacy point (Master of Alterac Valley).

Darkspear Islands Marks and Stack Cap

The game awards DI marks according to the rules for WSG, AB, and AV. Blizzard has raised the stack limit for this currency from 20 in Classic to 30 on all Forever battlegrounds. This allows you to stockpile a larger supply in your bag before heading to the NPC. The general rules boil down to four points:

  • A victory grants three marks
  • Each defeat grants one
  • The stack holds up to 30 marks
  • Binding triggers on pickup (BoP)

DI marks go to quests from both factions in this BG. The Alliance turns in three of them at a time for Darkspear Islands Clash. Conflict at Darkspear Islands gives the Horde the same exchange rate. Each of these quests grants +150 reputation with Theramore Expeditionary Force or Darkspear Raiders and up to 100 Honor to a character at the level cap. This allows you to accumulate Honor for PvP items alongside reputation.

The entry requirement increases from level 10 in WSG to level 51 in AV. In between are AB (level 20) and DI (level 30). We recommend farming WSG and AB currency while you level up, since their quests give both experience and reputation.
