Rare Patterns From Dire Maul and Scholomance
WoW Forever rare recipes drop in the same locations where players farmed them in Classic. They come from Knot Thimblejack's Cache, as well as from bosses and mobs in level 54-60 dungeons in Feralas and Western Plaguelands. Your character will obtain Tailoring and Leatherworking patterns there. Popular recipes to choose from and their sources:
- Cloak of Warding and Mooncloth Gloves - Tailoring patterns from Knot Thimblejack's Cache in Dire Maul North. Blizzard replaced the +15 Spirit on Mooncloth Gloves with a bonus of up to 33 healing in Forever.
- Felcloth Gloves and Mongoose Boots - two more rewards from this chest, one for Tailoring and one for Leatherworking.
- Big Bag of Enchantment - a 32-slot bag for Enchanting materials in Forever, instead of 24. Its pattern drops from Magister Kalendris in Dire Maul West.
- Robe of the Void - a level 57 robe pattern for Warlocks. Darkmaster Gandling drops it in the dungeon accessible via Skeleton Key.
- Wicked Leather Armor and Runic Leather Armor - leather chest pieces for crafting via Leatherworking. Their patterns drop from mobs in the same dungeon (Spectral Researcher and Scholomance Dark Summoner).
- Plans: Heartseeker and Schematic: Spellpower Goggles Xtreme - Cannon Master Willey in Stratholme drops Heartseeker plans for Weaponsmiths. The schematic for the goggles (Engineering 225) is a world drop.
We recommend choosing the option that matches your character's profession. Leatherworking recipes from mobs in Darkmaster Gandling's dungeon suit a leatherworker. He obtains Mongoose Boots from Knot Thimblejack's Cache in Feralas.
Lower Skill Requirements in WoW Forever
Blizzard has lowered the skill requirements for most rare patterns in World of Warcraft Forever. This allows your character to start crafting items for themselves or for sale before their Tailoring or Leatherworking reaches 300. Skill requirements in Classic and Forever:
| Recipe | Skill in Classic | Skill in Forever |
|---|---|---|
| Cloak of Warding | Tailoring 300 | Tailoring 280 |
| Felcloth Gloves | Tailoring 300 | Tailoring 280 |
| Mooncloth Gloves | Tailoring 300 | Tailoring 280 |
| Mongoose Boots | Leatherworking 300 | Leatherworking 290 |
| Big Bag of Enchantment | Tailoring 300 | Tailoring 255 |
| Robe of the Void | Tailoring 300 | Tailoring 295 |
| Wicked Leather Armor | Leatherworking 300 | Leatherworking 280 |
| Runic Leather Armor | Leatherworking 300 | Leatherworking 285 |
Plans: Heartseeker stays at Blacksmithing 300. We consider Big Bag of Enchantment to be the best value option in Forever. A tailor can craft this bag at skill level 255 instead of 300. You won't have to max out Tailoring just for it.
BoE Recipes and BoP Patterns Delivery
All four patterns from Knot Thimblejack's Cache are BoP. The game binds these patterns to your character the moment you loot them. Neither mail, trade, nor the auction house will accept them. That's why our team goes on a run with your character to obtain these patterns. You'll receive the pattern during that same run.
Our team will send other WoW Forever rare recipes without binding (BoE) via mail or trade after farming them. You won't have to run the dungeon yourself to get such a recipe. Any of your characters in the same region, rule set, and faction as in the order can receive it. This allows you to learn the recipe on an alt with the appropriate profession.
