Ravager Proc Changes in WoW Forever
The axe’s proc in Forever reduces the character’s own movement speed by 80%. Its description in the Classic version did not mention such a slow effect. The slow lasts for the full 9 seconds while the proc attacks all enemies near you. This attack deals weapon damage plus 5 every 3 seconds. That allows a single character to attack the entire pack of mobs around the tank.
The axe itself is ilvl 42 and attacks at a speed of 3.50. Each strike deals 104–157 damage. We believe this damage output makes the proc’s ticks hit hard against a dense pack of mobs. But the 80% slow prevents the character from moving away from the pack until the proc ends.
Herod Loot in Scarlet Monastery Armory
The Armory’s final boss drops the axe and several blue mail items. He waits for a group at the end of the wing for levels 36–44. The entire Scarlet Monastery in World of Warcraft Forever covers levels 30–46, from the Graveyard to the Cathedral. Drop rates for the final boss’s three blue items vary in Classic:
- Ravager - 11%
- Raging Berserker's Helm - 36%
- Scarlet Leggings - 20%
Forever allows groups of up to five players in the Scarlet Monastery, compared to ten in Classic. There are no lockouts on its wings. That’s why our team runs the Armory again and again without pausing for a reset. We choose the “until drop” option because the axe has the lowest drop rate of these three items in Classic. You can also buy Ravager with the number of attempts you need.
Best Classes for Ravager
Four classes can use two-handed axe weapons. We would give this axe to Warriors and Paladins. These classes spend the entire fight in melee range next to a pack of mobs. Enhancement Shamans also strike enemies up close and get the same proc damage against all targets around them. But the 80% slow makes it difficult for Hunters to maintain distance in combat.
