Satchel of Potions Trinket Effects
WoW Forever Satchel of Potions is a reusable trinket with a random effect. The trinket chooses one such effect for the player each time you click Use. Its description warns of the risk with the short phrase “Reach into the bag and hope for the best.”
- Item Level 33
- Bind on Pickup (BoP)
- Use with a 10-minute cooldown
- Restores 455-585 health
- Restores 455-585 mana
- +50% speed for 15 seconds
- Deals 216 Fire damage to self
Blizzard added this trinket to Forever as a new item. The Horde takes it from Borstan’s Changing Tastes quest. Alliance players get it from the Heartwoven quest at the end of their chain. The three useful effects are as strong as the potions from the same Alliance chain. This allows you to use them once every 10 minutes and save your potions.
The fourth effect deals 216 Fire damage to the wearer. That's why we recommend not using the trinket when your health is low. You decide whether to include it in your BiS list.
Excavation Site Quests for Both Factions
Both factions go to the Excavation Site: Wetlands dungeon (levels 24-29) to obtain Satchel of Potions. The quests for this trinket in the quest log are level 31. Your character can accept them as early as level 24. This allows you to start the chain well before you reach level 31.
The Horde receives WoW Forever Satchel of Potions for a single quest from Borstan in Orgrimmar. Borstan asks you to bring him four Thicket Raptor Meat from this dungeon. The Alliance begins the chain with Seeking Caitlin from Llana in Ashenvale. Caitlin Grassman in Menethil Harbor gives the next quest (Lost in the Thicket Things). The final Heartwoven quest rewards the Alliance with the same trinket.
Excavation Site: Wetlands lies above Whelgar’s Excavation, near Thelgen Rock and Dun Algaz. The Alliance reaches the entrance from Menethil Harbor. Titan constructs and dangerous wildlife inhabit this dungeon. The last of the three bosses (Relic Guardian) is level 31 and awaits the group at the end of the path after Saltspine and Shadetooth. Our team’s Rank 1 boosters handle these fights.
The order includes a self-play dungeon run with our group or in pilot mode. You won’t have to look for players for this run. Horde characters travel to the dungeon on foot through Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands and pass the flight points at Tarren Mill and Hammerfall. Our booster covers this route for you when they play in pilot mode. You won’t have to guide your character along this path yourself.
