Tabard of Flame Fire Effect From the TCG
The tabard with a fire effect came into the game from the TCG. A Landro Longshot loot card from Heroes of Azeroth gave it to players in Classic. It gives your character model a fire effect. The item is Epic quality, has an item level of 1, and has the Unique tag. There are no stats or level requirements in its tooltip.
Tabard of Frost serves as the icy counterpart to the fire tabard. Madam Swyndle lists them on the BMAH as two separate BoP-bound lots. That's why a collector must win the auction twice to complete the pair.
Black Market Auction House Lot and Bids
Madam Swyndle (Agent of the Black Market) accepts bids on the tabard at goblin Powderfuse Port on the eastern edge of the Riverglades zone. Mister Graphed sells Black Lotus and Arcane Crystal there for 50 g each. A boat runs there from Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris. The ChaosBoost pilot will make this journey on your character. You won’t have to sail to Riverglades yourself.
The lot goes to the highest bidder at the end of the auction. Blizzard changes the selection of lots available from Madam Swyndle. That's why the desired lot doesn’t always appear on the BMAH. Our Rank 1 pilot places the bid on your character because the BoP restriction keeps the item with the BMAH auction winner. You also don’t need to check the list of lots every day.
Rare WoW Classic Tabards in Forever
The fire tabard and Tabard of Frost in Classic came from the TCG. Players bought card packs for the loot cards or UDE points. There were no other in-game sources for this pair. Forever players now bid in-game gold on both items on the BMAH. We consider them one of the rarest cosmetic rewards in Forever because every lot at Madam Swyndle goes to the highest bidder.
