Takk the Leaper Raptor in the Barrens
WoW Forever Takk the Leaper is a level 19 Rare Elite raptor from the north of The Barrens. His tooltip matches the Classic version. The Tame Beast spell in Forever also remains unchanged. It cannot tame beasts higher than the character’s level. That's why a hunter of level 19 or higher can tame Takk.
The Raptor family in Forever has gained its own Savage Rend ability, which inflicts heavy bleeding. Raptors now also learn the ability Dash. Both abilities give your raptor bleed damage and increased speed when it chases a target.
WoW Forever hunter pets scale with their owner. Each point of the hunter’s Stamina gives the pet 2 Health. The pet inherits 30% of the owner’s Armor and 10% of their Attack Power. It also receives the hunter’s full critical strike chance. This allows the raptor to grow stronger as your gear improves.
Buffs from other classes no longer affect pets. But they now have avoidance in Forever. We believe players choose rare hunter pets for their rarity and name, since the owner’s stats now determine a pet’s power.
Takk the Leaper Spawn Points
Takk roams the northern part of The Barrens. The raptor’s locations on the map are in the 57–63 range on the X-axis. Their Y-coordinates range from 6 to 16. Our booster will camp him in this area on your character in pilot mode or alongside your hunter in the same party.
The duration of the camp in both formats depends on Takk’s respawn rate and the number of players who collect rare hunter pets in this area. We recommend pilot mode for customers who don’t have free evenings to camp. You won’t have to keep your hunter online the entire time. The co-op format will leave the casting to you.
Raptor Hide Cloak From the Kill
Raptor Hide Cloak drops from Takk upon kill. A character can wear this BoP cloak (ilvl 21) from level 16. The cloak gives +4 Stamina and +3 Spirit. These stats give the character more health and regeneration between fights. This cloak is part of the Blessing of Kalimdor set, along with Mark of the Pack Leader (from Humar the Pridelord) and Signet of the Zhevra (from Swiftmane).
The two-piece set bonus increases your character’s movement speed by 5% in The Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains. It will take your character less time to travel through these zones. There is no loot from the raptor after Tame Beast, because taming keeps the beast alive and transfers it to your hunter as a new pet. Your character can obtain the cloak from another raptor spawn.
