How to Get Lum Rune in D4
To get the Lum Rune in Diablo 4 you need to take part in content that drops items. It's easier to get than the legendary tier but still takes some time. You can try various in-game activities to increase your chances of getting this item.
| Activity | Drop Chance | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Nightmare Dungeons | Moderate | Found as loot from elite enemies and dungeon bosses. |
| Whisper Caches | Moderate | Earned through Tree of Whispers bounty completions. |
| Campaign Bosses | Moderate | Drops from key bosses in the Vessel of Hatred storyline. |
| Stronghold Completions | High (first-time only) | Guaranteed drop during first clear of each stronghold. |
Doing these activities consistently will increase your chances of getting the Lum Rune. Nightmare Dungeons are great for farming and Whisper Caches is an extra way to get it in D4. Also make sure to take advantage of the guaranteed drop on first-time Stronghold completions to get this rune fast. Before you start these activities make sure your character is built and geared for farming. Preparation is key to success and makes the whole process smoother and more fun.
How to Use Lum Rune in Diablo 4
The Lum Rune in D4 consumes Offerings generated by a paired Rune of Ritual. These Offerings are generated by fulfilling the condition of the Ritual Rune and when the threshold is met the Lum Rune will restore resources. This is a way for players to keep their abilities up during long fights.
Rune of Ritual
| Condition | Offerings Generated | Lum Effect | Offerings Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lith | Stand still for 0.3 seconds | Restores 2.5% primary resource | 5 |
| Tam | Use a Core Skill | Restores 2.5% primary resource | 5 |
| Yul | Cast a skill with a cooldown | Restores 2.5% primary resource | 5 |
You can customize the Lum Rune to your build. For example, Lum with Lith is good for defensive playstyle, Tam is good for aggressive builds that use Core Skills.
