WoW Classic Bags Compared to Forever

Most WoW Forever bags have retained their Classic sizes. But Blizzard increased the capacity of the Red Linen Bag from 6 to 8 slots. The size of the other options in this service increases along with the cloth tier in the Tailoring recipe (from Linen Cloth at lower levels to Runecloth at the end of leveling).

We recommend the Runecloth set for a level 60 character because no other Tailoring option in this service gives more inventory space. This allows you to carry more loot between trips to the vendor. Red Linen suits your alt character during early leveling. This option in Forever holds the same amount as the Red Woolen Bag from Wool Cloth.

Runecloth Bag and Reagent Bag Crafting

The Tailoring profession crafts every item in this service. Blizzard has added Magenta Dye and Cerulean Dye to the Runecloth recipe. Another new feature in World of Warcraft Forever is the fifth slot for profession reagents and materials. A standard inventory container won't fit into it. That's why every character who loots cloth from humanoids during leveling from level 1 to 60 needs the Linen or Woolen version for this slot.

Red Linen, Mageweave, and Runecloth in Forever have no character binding. The Linen and Woolen versions carry the Binds when equipped (BoE) tag.
