WoW Forever Dual Spec Level and Trainer
Class trainers in the capital cities handle all talent changes. They sell a second spec to every level 40 character. These same trainers also reset regular talents along with Legacy talents. Aggrend on the Forever podcast and the game's team in a TechRadar interview outlined the main rules for the second spec:
- Second specialization from level 40
- A tank build for dungeons in the second talent slot
- Purchase from a trainer for gold
- No plans for a third specialization
- No cheap respecs
- Meaningful talent choices
Aggrend described the second specialization as part of the answer to the question about a tank build for dungeons. The tank keeps this build in the second talent slot. They level up on quests in the Forever zones in a damage-dealing role. Our team sets up a tank or healer build for your class in the second spec. This allows you to transition from quests to dungeons without a paid respec.
Dual Spec Cost and Free Switching
The game doesn't charge a fee for switching between two specs. But changing talents within a single spec requires a standard respec at the class trainer. The cost of such a respec increases after each reset and decreases once a week. A player without a second specialization pays this fee every time they switch from solo quests to dungeons as a tank or healer.
We consider it a common mistake to purchase a second slot without a plan for both builds. Every adjustment to either of them means another paid reset. Our team sets up both builds for your roles and the new Forever talent trees right from the start. You won't have to spend gold on a series of resets in search of a working option.
WoW Forever Talents for a Second Build
The second build in Forever relies on four rows of gold medal talents. Rows at 11 and 21 points carried over from Classic. The 31-point threshold also stayed in its place. Blizzard has added a new 16-point row to these three, with gold medal talents for all talent trees of every class. The cap remains the same (51 points at level 60).
The Legacy perk Talented from the Adventure tree changes the starting point on the path to this cap. Each of the perk's five ranks moves the first talent point one level earlier than the usual threshold in Classic. The full perk brings you to all 51 points by level 55. Our team takes your character's Talented ranks into account in the second build. This allows you to get a ready-made build without having to recalculate your points.
Paladins in Forever have gained three new baseline abilities. Every paladin learns Holy Strike at level 6 and Seal of Fury at 10. Consecration is no longer a Holy talent and has become a baseline ability at level 20. Its main damage goes to the first four targets.
We recommend pairing Protection and Retribution for a paladin's two specializations. The reason is Seal of Fury, which gives the tank a taunt via Judgement with a 10-yard range, while the warrior's Taunt has a 5-yard range. This allows your paladin to pick up targets from a greater distance than other tanks.
