Brawler's Leather Legguards Recipe in WoW Forever
The Brawler's Leather Legguards recipe in WoW Forever teaches a character with the Leatherworking profession how to craft leather legguards. You can purchase this recipe for 30 Merchant's Favor from an NPC of your faction in The Barrens or Redridge Mountains to learn it at Leatherworking 125. Crafting the legguards consumes leather, thread, and Shadowgem at the Tanning Rack in camp. The finished legguards stay with the creator (BoP) and require level 25 to equip.
The legguards take the Legs slot and count as Leather armor with an item level of 30. Not every class in WoW Forever can wear this type of armor, even after level 25. The item's stats combine Armor with bonuses to Agility, Strength, and Stamina. We recommend checking the class restriction before you purchase the recipe, as the game binds both the pattern and the legguards to the same character.
Brawler's Leather Legguards Vendors
Pawani and Daniel Stitchsong carry this new WoW Forever recipe for both Horde and Alliance players in The Barrens and Redridge Mountains. The price in Merchant's Favor, database stock, and learning requirement are the same for both NPCs.
| Parameter | Horde | Alliance |
|---|---|---|
| Vendor | Pawani | Daniel Stitchsong |
| Zone | The Barrens | Redridge Mountains |
| Currency | Merchant's Favor | Merchant's Favor |
| Price | 30 | 30 |
| Database Stock | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Leatherworking to Learn | 125 | 125 |
The game binds the recipe to the buyer (BoP), and you cannot transfer it to an alt or another player. That's why the same leatherworker must purchase the recipe from a vendor of their faction and learn it. The "Sell Price" line in the recipe's tooltip shows 6 silver 25 copper when you sell it to a vendor, regardless of the purchase price from Pawani or Daniel Stitchsong.
Materials for Crafting
Horde and Alliance players collect the same set of materials to craft these legguards. This set in WoW Forever combines several types of leather, thread, and Shadowgem in quantities from 3 to 12 per reagent.
| Reagent | Amount per Cast |
|---|---|
| Medium Leather | 12 |
| Cured Medium Hide | 4 |
| Pristine Leather | 8 |
| Fine Thread | 3 |
| Shadowgem | 8 |
Crafting in the profession window takes all these materials from your bags in a single 12.5-second cast at the Tanning Rack in camp. Your own Tanning Rack requires an additional 5 Medium Leather and 3 Fine Thread beyond this list. The third material it needs is 2 Simple Wood.
Leatherworking Skills and Tanning Rack
The Leatherworking skill in WoW Forever unlocks the recipe and your own workstation at various skill levels. A leatherworker's readiness for the first legguards cast depends on their profession skill level and access to a Tanning Rack near them in camp at the Campfire:
- Recipe at 125 - a skill level of 125 unlocks the recipe and allows you to craft the legguards in the Leatherworking window. You'll need the workstation next to you for each cast of this recipe.
- Your own workstation at 140 - the leatherworker learns Blueprint: Tanning Rack and crafts their own workstation at skill level 140. You place the finished Tanning Rack at the same skill level next to the Campfire, subject to the shared 1-hour cooldown for camp items.
- Access to the workstation - we recommend checking this access before you spend Merchant's Favor and materials, because a character with a skill level below 140 cannot place their Tanning Rack. A leatherworker at skill level 140 places it near the Campfire and crafts the legguards in the same camp.
Levels 125 and 140 correspond to different stages of preparation for crafting. The second milestone pertains to crafting and setting up your station and does not raise the pattern requirement in WoW Forever from 125 to 140. This shared cooldown also allows for a new camp item 1 hour after the previous one.
Crafting and Equipment Checks
Crafting and equipping the legguards in WoW Forever depend on the BoP status that the game assigns to both the recipe for Merchant's Favor and the finished legguards with an item level of 30. That's why all checks before the first crafting attempt happen on the same character:
- Legguards Owner - craft the legguards on the character who will wear them in the Legs slot. An alt on the same account will not get them via mail or trade.
- Currency for purchase - your character must have 30 Merchant's Favor before they visit their faction's vendor. The game will deduct this amount when you purchase the recipe from the NPC.
- Recipe in the profession window - a leatherworker with a skill level of 125 learns the recipe with a click on the pattern in their bag. Any profession level below 125 will not give you the ability to learn this recipe until your skill level increases.
- Materials in your bags - gather a full set of materials for the legguards and your workstation before you head to the camp at the Campfire. The game will initiate the crafting process once every reagent on the recipe list is present.
- Level and Armor Type - the legguards require a character level of 25 and a class with access to Leather armor. Item level 30 describes the item's power and does not replace this equip requirement.
The finished legguards in WoW Forever give 90 Armor and +9 Agility. They also add +7 to both Strength and Stamina, along with +6 Spirit. The ChaosBoost team can discuss profession preparation and materials with you after you verify access to a workstation on the character for whom you are crafting this armor.
