Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm Recipe in WoW Forever

The Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm Recipe in WoW Forever is a blacksmithing recipe for Mail armor. Plans: Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm unlocks this crafting option for a character with a Blacksmithing skill of 95 after you buy and learn it. This recipe gives you the ability to craft a Rare-quality Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm for the Head slot. You can purchase these Plans for 30 Merchant's Favor instead of gold at Horde and Alliance blacksmith shops in The Barrens and Redridge Mountains.

Both the Plans and the finished helmet are BoP (Binds when picked up). This binding ties each of these items to you the moment you receive them. That's why a single character in WoW Forever goes through the entire process from purchasing at a vendor to crafting and equipping the finished item in the Head slot. The same character needs five materials and two Blacksmithing tools to craft it.

Gor'mak and Stondry Darkhammer sell this recipe as a Plans item for Merchant's Favor. These vendors charge the same price for it in two different zones of WoW Forever to Horde and Alliance buyers.

You need to collect 30 Merchant's Favor before visiting Gor'mak or Stondry Darkhammer in WoW Forever. The other amount in the Plans description (4 silver 75 copper in the Sell Price field) shows your payout in coins when you sell this item back to any shop. Every blacksmith needs their own copy of the Plans for the same cost in Merchant's Favor.

Recipe requirements apply to three different objects: the Plans, the recipe knowledge in your profession, and the finished helmet. Each of these has its own owner requirement, its own checkpoint, and its own binding upon acquisition in WoW Forever.

The Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm's item level of 25 is not part of the character requirements. BoP binding prevents you from selling the Plans and the finished item on the auction house, mailing them, or trading them with other players in WoW Forever at any stage after acquisition. That's why you will not be able to forge this helmet for a friend or another one of your characters, even if you have a full set of materials.

Each craft of the Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm in the Blacksmithing profession requires five materials. The composition of this set is the same for both the Horde and the Alliance, because both factions learn the same recipe using a single Plans item.

The game consumes this entire set every time you use the recipe. You'll need two tools and knowledge of the recipe in WoW Forever in addition to these five materials:

• Anvil - this recipe lists Anvil in the Requires field as a prerequisite for each use in WoW Forever. The game does not consume the anvil while you work, unlike the five materials from your set.
• Blacksmith Hammer - this hammer appears in the Tools field of the recipe as a required tool for your profession. Having one such hammer in your bags will be enough for all crafts without needing to buy a replacement.
• Recipe Knowledge - Plans: Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm teaches the recipe to the character who uses this item from their bags. The Recipe Hidden Until Known flag hides this recipe until you learn it.

We recommend collecting materials based on the number of crafts you plan to make. This recipe in WoW Forever lists the quantity of each of the five materials for a single craft of the Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm. The time for such a craft (according to the recipe description) is 25 seconds each time.

Crafting and equipment checks in WoW Forever apply to the character who makes the purchase, forges the helmet, and equips it in the Head slot. You clear them in order from the profession skill level to the finished item's stats:

1. Profession Skill Level - you need Blacksmithing 95 to learn the recipe after purchasing it from a merchant. The recipe checks the same requirement threshold each time you use it in the profession window.
2. Merchant's Favor - this recipe costs 30 units of this currency at both WoW Forever merchants in The Barrens and Redridge Mountains. Check that this item is in the vendor's inventory before paying.
3. Who Should Buy the Plans - purchase Plans: Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm with the character who will learn the recipe and forge the helmet. BoP binding will tie the purchase to that blacksmith upon receipt. The right character still needs their own copy for 30 Merchant's Favor if the wrong one buys it.
4. Materials in Bags - keep the five materials and the Blacksmith Hammer in the bags of the blacksmith who learned the recipe. Forging does not take materials from other characters' bags.
5. Normal Form - the Cannot be used while shapeshifted flag prevents this crafting in shapeshift form. Return to your normal form before beginning work at the anvil.
6. Head Slot - a WoW Forever character needs level 20 to equip the Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm in this slot. The blacksmith who forged it becomes the owner of this BoP item.
7. Stats - the completed Veteran's Silvered Chain Helm gives 163 Armor and +10 Strength. Compare these stats and the +9 Stamina to the item you wear in your Head slot now.

We recommend verifying that the Mail armor type is compatible with your WoW Forever character's class before purchasing the Plans for 30 Merchant's Favor and gathering the five materials. The in-game description of the helmet lists Mail and the Head slot without specifying any classes. You can ask our team for help with reaching Blacksmithing 95 or the materials for this blacksmith.
