Skinning Leveling Guide Changes in Forever
The main change to Skinning in World of Warcraft Forever concerns corpses. Each creature gives its skin to one skinner and then disappears. That's why other players' corpses do not give your character leather or skill-ups. Our team raises your character's profession along a route of beasts that match your current skill level, from the starting zones to levels 50-60. You won't have to share loot with other skinners.
Rugged Leather drops from level 50-60 beasts. Your character will skin them during the final stretch before the profession cap in zones like Un'Goro Crater, Felwood, and Winterspring. The full boost ends with Rugged Leather in your bags thanks to this. There are no other sources of this leather for skinners.
Skinning does not give Legacy points, just like other gathering professions. But skinners have the Bountiful Harvest perk in the Professions tree. Each of the perk's five ranks adds 20% to the amount of Scarce materials you get from hides, ore, and herbs in any zone in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. This allows you to receive up to +100% more of these materials from the same beasts at maximum. We recommend taking Bountiful Harvest on a character that farms leather for Leatherworking after the boost.
WoW Forever Skinning and Leatherworking
Leatherworking uses leather and hides from Skinning in most of its recipes. Our team leaves all the leather from the boost on your character. You won't have to buy it on the auction house. That same character can sell any excess. The new Scarce materials Pristine Leather and Pristine Hide drop from beasts in addition to regular leather and go into Forever Leatherworking recipes.
Camp Chair and Field Guide Blueprint
WoW Forever Skinning unlocks three camping items for campfires. First is the Camp Chair at skill level 20, which grants a +2% critical strike bonus to the entire camp. This allows your group to receive a critical strike bonus at every campfire stop if there's no Moonkin Aura nearby.
Any class receives Track Beasts from the Field Guide at skill level 140. The Field Guide blueprint drops from Lady Anacondra in Wailing Caverns, a dungeon beneath The Barrens for groups of five players at levels 17-24. Third is the Trapper's Workbench at skill level 300, which comes with one trap and the same bonus as the Camp Chair.
