FAQ

Is Auchenai Crypts good for fresh level 65-67 characters?

Yes, this dungeon is suitable for characters of levels 65-67 immediately after a boost in Zangarmarsh. Mobs and bosses in Normal mode are designed for characters of levels 65-67, so even a level 65 hero will be able to gain reliable experience and loot. The dungeon provides stable XP and rare items. This helps to better equip your hero compared to just questing in Terokkar Forest.

Which classes benefit most from Auchenai Crypts loot?

It offers loot for all character class roles. Casters and healers get cloth items with bonuses to spell damage and healing. Tanks and physical fighters (DPS) can find improved armor and weapons to increase their survivability and damage.

Is Auchenai Crypts faster for XP than questing in Terokkar Forest?

Group farming can yield more XP per hour than the completion of quests in Terokkar Forest. In the dungeon, your character's experience grows non-stop through constant combat. In addition, your character gains Reputation and rare items at the same time. Questing requires a lot of time to travel, so many TBC Classic players consider grinding in instances to be a faster and more reliable way to boost your character's level.

Does Auchenai Crypts drop caster and healer pre-raid gear?

Yes, Auchenai Crypts has important pre-raid items for casters and healers. For example, Scintillating Headdress of Second Sight and Light-Touched Stole of Altruism drop in the Heroic version of Crypts and are rare trophies for classes with the role of caster or healer. Thus, Auchenai Crypts is very valuable for casters and healers when collecting pre-raid equipment.
