Many players consider Shadow Labyrinth to be the most difficult dungeon in the Auchindoun complex in TBC Classic. Bosses use dangerous effects such as fear mechanics (mass fear) and mind control on the entire group. These effects make it very difficult to run the dungeon without good crowd control.

Warlocks and shadow priests get the most out of Shadow Labyrinth loot. Tanks (warrior, paladin, druid) value trophies from Shadow Labyrinth, such as the Adamantine Figurine trinket for increased defense.

A player with an Auchenai Key from the Lower City faction can enter the Heroic Auchindoun dungeons. Shadow Labyrinth itself does not unlock the heroic versions. However, regularly running Shadow Labyrinth gives a lot of Lower City reputation and brings you closer to obtaining the key.

The first fragment of the key to enter Karazhan is located in Shadow Labyrinth. Without it, players will not be able to obtain The Master's Key and enter the Karazhan raid.

An experienced group with good crowd control can farm Shadow Labyrinth very reliably. Abilities such as sheep for mages or sap for rogues neutralize xxx enemies in each battle. As a result, the group takes minimal damage and is fast in clearing all packs.
