Talon of Azshara

Talon of Azshara

Buy Talon of Azshara - the BiS main-hand sword for Combat Rogue and Fury Warrior in WoW: TBC Anniversary - through a carry service from ChaosBoost, because killing Morogrim Tidewalker every week and praying for one specific drop out of six items on his loot table isn't gameplay, it's a weekly lottery with a lockout timer. You know the feeling: raid's done, boss is dead, and the loot window shows another Serpent-Coil Braid and some plate items. You log off in silence until next Tuesday.

Key Rewards & Results

  • Talon of Azshara (ilvl 134) - epic one-hand sword: 182-339 damage, speed 2.70, 96.48 DPS, +15 Agility, +20 Hit Rating, +40 Attack Power, +168 Armor
  • Morogrim Tidewalker kill - full 5th boss kill in Serpentshrine Cavern with a 25-man raid group
  • Chance at extra loot - Morogrim also drops Mantle of the Tireless Tracker, Pauldrons of the Argent Sentinel, Serpent-Coil Braid and other items from his table (drops are RNG-based and not guaranteed)
  • Attunement stays - SSC access remains on your character permanently after the first entry

Talon of Azshara fills the single biggest DPS gap for sword-spec Rogue - roughly +50 DPS over Latro's Shifting Sword from Phase 1. This isn't just a slot upgrade, it's a different tier of damage output entirely. That's why every raid night turns into a war between rogues and warriors over this one sword.

Requirements

  • Level 70 character
  • Serpentshrine Cavern attunement (Mark of Vashj)
  • Active WoW: TBC Anniversary subscription

How This Service WorksHow This Service Works

  • Pick your option and order

Place a purchase on the site with your server, faction, and format (Piloted or Selfplay)

  • Raid group assembly

We build a 25-man roster around the weekly reset, and Morogrim is always a priority target in the route - not last on the list when the raid is burned out and running on autopilot

  • SSC run to Morogrim

The team takes an optimized path through the first four bosses, averaging about 40 minutes to reach Tidewalker

  • Kill Morogrim Tidewalker

The actual fight, including murloc wave management and the phase 2 Water Globules, takes 4-6 minutes depending on raid DPS

  • Loot distribution

If Talon of Azshara drops, the item goes to your character with full priority, remaining loot handled by arrangement

Service Start & Delivery

Your booking starts right after purchase. Service typically begins within 2-10 hours - depends on your server and the closest weekly reset, since SSC runs on a weekly lockout with one shot per cycle. Putting together the best group of boosters for your order can take extra time, especially if you need specific loot distribution. The Express option speeds up the start and bumps you to the front of the queue.

One thing to keep in mind: Talon of Azshara is an RNG drop. We guarantee the boss kill and loot priority, but the drop itself depends on the loot table. Across 400+ SSC runs, our internal data shows Talon dropping roughly 18-20% of the time. If the sword doesn't drop - your next run the following week comes at a discount.

FAQ

These are real questions players ask before placing an order.

What if Talon doesn't drop - do I just lose my money?

No. You still get a guaranteed Morogrim Tidewalker kill and all uncontested loot from the run. If Talon of Azshara doesn't drop - your next run on the following reset comes at a discount. Statistically, the sword drops within 3-4 weeks about 85%+ of the time.

Can I play along in Selfplay mode?

Absolutely. Selfplay means you're in the raid yourself, fighting the boss alongside our boosters. Only rule - listen to the raid leader, especially on Morogrim. Bad positioning during Watery Grave will get you killed.

How long from order to getting my items?

From purchase to boss kill - usually 2-48 hours depending on the day and reset cycle. The run to Morogrim itself takes about 40 minutes. The whole service moves fast.

Why buy Talon of Azshara separately instead of a full SSC run?

On a full SSC run, loot distribution splits across multiple buyers. A separate order for Talon means the sword goes to you with absolute priority, zero competition. If you want the cheap route, there's the full SSC run where you can still get the sword, just with shared distribution.

Is this safe for my account?

In Selfplay - completely, you play on your own account. In Piloted mode, we use a VPN matched to your region, and across 400+ SSC runs this season, not a single account has been banned.

Morogrim

Ordering Talon of Azshara through a carry service takes you out of the weekly pug lottery where you're rolling against three rogues and two warriors for the same sword. With an organized group of boosters and loot priority, you get a fair shot without guild politics or DKP wars.

Morogrim Tidewalker: Why This Boss Walls Most Pugs

Morogrim Tidewalker looks simple on paper, but in practice he's one of the hardest DPS and healing checks in SSC. The boss sits at 5.7 million HP and hits noticeably harder than other Phase 2 bosses. Back in the original TBC, Morogrim had 53% fewer kills than Leotheras the Blind - and Anniversary servers are seeing the same pattern.

The main problem is Earthquake and the murloc waves that follow. Every 40-50 seconds the boss casts Earthquake, then 12 murlocs (6 from each entrance) rush the room. Murlocs hit for 800 on plate and 1400 on cloth, and their Pierce Armor shreds 75% of the target's armor. Without two Paladin tanks pre-positioned with Consecration, those murlocs run straight to healers - and the fight ends right there.

Watery Grave teleports four random players under the waterfalls every 40-50 seconds, dealing ~6000 Frost damage and dropping them with fall damage on top. If healers don't catch them within 2-3 seconds, that's four corpses. Below 25% HP the boss switches to Water Globules, and the raid becomes a DPS race with constant repositioning. That's why a solid game plan on Morogrim takes more than gear - it takes 25 people coordinating at once, and pugs almost never have that.
