Battlegear of Heroism Quest Chain
The T0.5 chain divides the exchange of T0 pieces into four stages. Each stage required its own materials and gold in Classic. The starting quest An Earnest Proposition asked for 15 samples of blood from Winterspring or venom from Silithus and 20 g. Stage three added a 45-minute run against Baron Rivendare in Stratholme. You won’t have to complete this run against the clock with a random group.
The chain’s key fights take place against summoned bosses in five dungeons:
- Isalien - Dire Maul East
- Mor Grayhoof - Lower Blackrock Spire
- Kormok - Scholomance
- Jarien & Sothos - Stratholme
- Lord Valthalak - Upper Blackrock Spire
The ghost Bodley at the entrance to Blackrock Spire gives quests for the left and right pieces of the amulet. Each of these quests in Classic sent the player to a random boss from the first four, such as Isalien in Alzzin the Wildshaper’s chamber. The final fight requires the complete three-piece amulet. Our team completes all these summon fights alongside your warrior. This saves you the trouble of assembling your own group for each boss in the chain.
Battlegear of Heroism Pieces from Valor
Set bonuses start at two pieces and cap at six. The first bonus gives resistance to all schools of magic. Next come health regeneration at three and the Moment of Valor effect at five. The final set bonus gives the warrior Strength. You won’t have to collect the entire set just for the bonuses.
Each piece of Battlegear of Valor has its own T0.5 counterpart and its own exchange stage in the quest chain with Deliana or Mokvar.
| Valor Piece | Heroism Piece | Exchange Stage |
|---|---|---|
| Helm of Valor | Helm of Heroism | Fourth |
| Spaulders of Valor | Spaulders of Heroism | Third |
| Breastplate of Valor | Breastplate of Heroism | Fourth |
| Bracers of Valor | Bracers of Heroism | First |
| Gauntlets of Valor | Gauntlets of Heroism | Second |
| Belt of Valor | Belt of Heroism | Second |
| Legplates of Valor | Legplates of Heroism | Third |
| Boots of Valor | Boots of Heroism | Third |
Bracers, Belt, and Legplates give the warrior Defense for the tank role. Four more pieces add hit or crit for damage. This allows a warrior to use these items in both tanking and damage-dealing gear sets. Two of these four pieces (Helm and Breastplate) are epic-quality and come together from the quest Saving the Best for Last. Spaulders give neither Defense, hit, nor crit.
WoW Forever Warrior BiS Before Raids
The new Forever tier sets drop in Hyjal Summit (a 20-player raid). We consider the T0.5 set to be the foundation of a warrior’s gear before this raid and keep six of its pieces on our WoW Forever Warrior BiS list for all the bonuses. The head slot goes to the crafted Lionheart Helm (Blacksmithing 300). Blizzard has retained +18 Strength and 2% each to hit and crit on this helm. We recommend saving the T0.5 helm with its +32 Stamina for tank gear.
