Blackrock Depths Routes to Emperor Thaurissan
ChaosBoost divides Blackrock Depths boost into four routes. Three of them end at Emperor Dagran Thaurissan’s throne. Each takes its own path through the Dark Iron city to reach him. This allows you to choose a run that suits your goal. The options differ in their final destination and main reward:
| Route | Final Destination | What You Get |
|---|---|---|
| Lower City | Shadowforge gates | Gorosh the Dervish |
| Emperor run | Dagran Thaurissan | All the way to the throne |
| Jump run | Dagran Thaurissan | Fast loot runs |
| Princess | Dagran Thaurissan | Moira Bronzebeard quest |
WoW Forever Blackrock Depths features 25 bosses and two rare mobs. The game client stores 168 items for this dungeon. We recommend the full Emperor run for your first visit because it gives more bosses than Jump run. Our team knows every path through the BRD maze. You won’t have to search the map for the way to the Emperor.
BRD Quests and Shadowforge Key
BRD quests for the Alliance include the Onyxia attunement steps from the Marshal Windsor quest chain. Blizzard ported this attunement to World of Warcraft Forever from Classic without any changes. Players find A Crumpled Up Note on Dark Iron mobs and take Windsor’s notes from Golem Lord Argelmach and General Angerforge. Our team completes the final Jail Break! quest with your character as an escort out of the BRD prison. This saves you from having to find a group for this escort.
The Dark Iron Legacy quest gives the key to the Shadowforge gates and the East Garrison door. Franclorn Forgewright hands this quest to ghost-form characters in Blackrock Mountain. The group kills Fineous Darkvire in the Hall of Crafting and places his Ironfel hammer in the hands of the Franclorn statue in the Shrine of Thaurissan. This key allows subsequent runs to bypass the Ring of Law. That's why we recommend taking the Dark Iron Legacy quest on your first run.
Blackrock Depths Loot and Hand of Justice
The game binds BRD named items to the character upon pickup (BoP). Players cannot purchase such items on the auction house. A guildmate cannot mail them either. Each boss kill grants the character one chance at a drop. That's why ChaosBoost sells three such items as separate listings in the Items section:
- Hand of Justice - a trinket for melee. Players have been farming it since the Classic era.
- Ironfoe - a one-handed mace from Emperor Dagran Thaurissan. Franclorn Forgewright forged it and designed the entire city.
- Savage Gladiator Chain - Gorosh the Dervish drops this mail chest piece in the Ring of Law arena. The Forever version gives +16 Strength and +14 Agility.
Blizzard reworked Savage Gladiator Chain for Forever and increased Stamina from +13 to +18. The same rework reduced the critical strike chance on the chest piece from 2% to 1.5%. A new bonus lowers by 4% the odds that fear effects from mobs and players hit your character. The chest piece is useful in both PvE and PvP thanks to this. It is part of The Gladiator set, which consists of six pieces instead of the five in Classic.
