How It Works

  1. Placing an Order

You choose self-play or pilot and the number of runs on the service page. Hall of Thanes quests option adds five Alliance quests. Quick checkout opens a form on this page and asks for the US or EU region, ruleset, and faction.
  2. Payment

The “Buy now” button opens the payment method selection. Enter your 10% discount code in the promo code field and click “Apply.” Order details will come to you via email.
  3. Booking

The order goes to the operators upon payment. Team booking begins within 5 minutes in most cases. The operator will coordinate the run start time with you and select boosters for your region and faction.
  4. Service Execution

The leader will send you a group invitation at the start time. Rank 1 boosters will defeat four bosses alongside your character, from Faldrim Anvilmar to Durgen Dirgehammer. You can watch the fights or participate in them on the leader’s commands.
  5. Order Completion

The operator will review the run results with you against the order list. You can leave feedback about our team’s work on the ChaosBoost website.

Hall of Thanes boost is complete once your character has completed every run and received all rewards and extras from the service page. You’ll receive a free repeat run from our team if a boss or any item on the order is missing.

FAQ

Can Horde Players Run Hall of Thanes?

Horde characters can enter the dungeon and kill all four bosses. The entrance lies deep within the enemy capital, near the High Seat hall. King Magni Bronzebeard’s guards stand there. The loot from the bosses is the same for both the Horde and the Alliance.

Where Is Hall of Thanes?

WoW Forever Hall of Thanes dungeon lies in Old Ironforge, beneath the Alliance capital. The path to it begins in the High Seat throne room. Its left corridor leads from there down to the ancient tombs of the dwarf kings. The Alliance does not need to leave its capital to reach this dungeon.

What Level Is Hall of Thanes?

Blizzard has designed WoW Forever Hall of Thanes for level 13-18 characters. The game does not give experience from mobs to a group with a character much higher in level than them. That's why the majority of XP in our run comes from Alliance quests. You won’t have to clear out halls just for experience.

Can I Play My Own Character?

The self-play format allows you to play your own character in a group with boosters. Our group leader will send instructions via Discord if you want to participate in fights. The “pilot” option hands control of your character over to our booster from the first boss to the last. You don’t need to be at your computer during the run.

How Many Runs Should I Order?

One Hall of Thanes boost is enough for four bosses and the Alliance quests. Your character completes them once. We recommend three or five runs to farm a BoP item. Each additional run gives you another chance at the loot.

Hall of Thanes Quests in WoW Forever

Five quests in WoW Forever Hall of Thanes give an Alliance character around 13,300 experience points. The mobs there give less because Blizzard has reduced the rewards for them in all World of Warcraft Forever dungeons. We recommend that Alliance characters select the quest option on their first run.

The NPCs at the entrance give out Important Heirlooms and The Restless Dead. Earthseer Farsen’s quest chain from Dun Morogh ends with Old Ironforge Incursion. It requires you to bring Durgen Dirgehammer’s head to King Magni Bronzebeard in the throne room. The player finds two more quests inside the dungeon: An Ancient Grudge and The Treaty of Understanding. You won’t have to search for Ghostly Attendant or the stone tablet in the final boss room, because our team guides you through all five quests.

The Horde gets two of the five quests. Three others require NPCs in Ironforge and Dun Morogh. That's why the Horde’s quest experience totals around 5,250.

Hall of Thanes Loot Table

Each boss’s loot table contains three BoP items at ilvl 18. Players cannot purchase this gear on the Ironforge auction house. A character can obtain it from the dungeon’s four bosses in one or more runs. Five items from Hall of Thanes loot are of particular interest to our customers:

  • Durgen's Crescent Axe - A Rare ilvl 18 one-handed axe from the final boss that grants +4 Strength. It’s a powerful melee weapon with 20-39 damage and a speed of 2.40.
  • Fang of Magmatus - Casters take this dagger from Magmatus for the +4 Intellect. It also provides +18 to spell damage and healing.
  • Golemheart Stave - The golem Plunder drops this two-handed staff with +6 Intellect and +5 Spirit. Healers value it for the Spirit, which speeds up mana regeneration.
  • Robes of the Disgraced Thane - The final fight rewards casters with this cloth robe that gives Spirit and Spell Power.
  • Kindlegem Girdle - This mail belt from Magmatus fills the Waist slot for tanks in mail.

All of these BoP items require level 13. Loot priority grants attempts with no guaranteed drop. ChaosBoost boosters do not claim the item you want in any run. They give it to your character. You won’t have to share an axe or staff with strangers.

Hall of Thanes Location and Entrance

The cobweb-covered passage in the High Seat hall (43.5, 52.0) leads to Hall of Thanes beneath Ironforge. A level 13-18 group will face four bosses there. The first fights are against Faldrim Anvilmar and the fire elemental Magmatus. Plunder the golem is the third boss before Durgen Dirgehammer and two Lesser Stone Golems.

Killing Durgen Dirgehammer counts toward the Novice Spelunker Legacy Challenge, just like Ragefire Chasm. We consider Ragefire Chasm in Orgrimmar the best choice for this credit for the Horde. The Horde’s path to the High Seat hall is long and runs through the entire Alliance capital.
