What Do You Need From Me?

Darkspear Islands Opens the 30 to 39 Bracket

The new Darkspear Islands battleground off the coast of Dustwallow Marsh welcomes twinks from level 30. Horde characters fight there as the Darkspear Raiders against the Alliance's Theramore Expeditionary Force. Teams of 15 players battle for four capture points and the flag in the center. The side that reaches 2,000 points first wins the match. You won't need to switch your BiS gear between this map, Warsong Gulch, and Arathi Basin within the level 30-39 bracket for your class.

Level 39 Twink Gear Sources

Players gather BiS gear for the level 30-39 bracket throughout the original Azeroth. Blizzard upgraded every dungeon boss's loot to rare quality as part of a major item overhaul. The same overhaul introduced new quest rewards and rare mob drops. This gives twinks more powerful items for every slot. Our team assembles a set for your class from seven sources:

  • Scarlet Monastery - a level 30-46 dungeon with the Chain of the Scarlet Crusade set. Six rare pieces of this set give bonuses against undead.
  • Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul - our team runs these classic dungeons with your character. Both give rare-quality BoP loot.

  • Cliff Jumpers - level 39 boots from a new rare mob. They reduce fall damage.

The game binds BoP items to your character upon acquisition. That's why dungeon loot and quest rewards from these sources require a run on your twink. We recommend starting your gear collection with BoP slots, because you can get BoE items and purchases from the Auction House later without your character's participation.

Level 39 Twink Gear Lists

Every class in twink WoW has its own BiS list for each level bracket. This list requires Intellect and spell power for casters. Melee classes look for gear with Agility, Strength, and Stamina for their slots. You won't have to create such a list for level 39 on your own. Faction also influences item selection, since some quest rewards are exclusive to one side (such as the Ladimore Heirloom Ring for Alliance casters).
