Where Lightforge Set Drops
All eight set pieces drop in World of Warcraft Forever dungeons. The final bosses of the three dungeons drop the three main pieces. Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance drops the paladin helm from the same loot table as the T0 helms of the game’s eight other classes. General Drakkisath and the final boss of Stratholme drop chest and leg pieces the same way. The drop rate for these items in Classic is therefore low.
| Piece | Source | Dungeon | Drop Rate in Classic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helm | Darkmaster Gandling | Scholomance | 6% |
| Breastplate | General Drakkisath | UBRS | 7% |
| Legplates | Baron Rivendare | Stratholme | 7% |
| Remaining five pieces | bosses and trash | six dungeons | varies |
Bosses and trash in the same three dungeons drop the five other pieces. These same items drop in BRD, LBRS, and Dire Maul. Blizzard does not publish drop rates for Forever dungeons. That’s why our team runs Stratholme, UBRS, and other dungeons with your character over and over again until every piece in your order drops. You won’t have to look for a group just for a helm with a 6% drop chance.
The game binds the helm, chest piece, and legplates to your character upon pickup. You’ll take them from the boss in a group with our team. The game binds T0 gloves to your character when you equip them. This allows you to purchase them from other players via the auction house if you need the hand slot before you collect the rest of the set.
Lightforge Set for Horde and Alliance
The paladin class in Forever is available to both factions. Horde players have received a new Undead Paladin combination with its Bandarion Keep hub in Tirisfal Glades and 32 new class quests up to level 26. Humans and Dwarves from Classic remain the paladin races for the Alliance. That’s why you can buy Lightforge Armor Set for an Alliance or Horde paladin.
Lightforge Armor Bonuses in WoW Forever
The set gives bonuses at each threshold from two to six pieces. Resistance to all schools of magic and spell power come from the lower thresholds. Higher thresholds from four pieces add a chance to silence an enemy caster in fights, a proc that boosts damage and healing, and mana regeneration. This allows the paladin to better withstand magical damage and interrupt enemy casts. Blizzard has also reworked the paladin class itself:
- Holy Strike - a new attack from level 6 deals instant Holy damage from your weapon. Talents from all three specializations enhance it.
- Seal of Fury - your character learns this seal for tanks at level 10. Its Judgement deals Holy damage and forces the target to attack the paladin.
- Consecration - all paladins learn this spell at level 20 instead of a talent from the Holy tree. It deals full damage to no more than four enemies.
- Tenets of the Silver Hand - an enchanter with a skill level of 130 creates this relic. It increases damage against undead by 1% and will come in handy in Stratholme.
Blizzard has removed Spirit from most set items. There’s also no eight-piece bonus in Forever. Your character receives all set effects with just six items. The three-piece spell power bonus also enhances the new Holy Strike. We recommend collecting these six items before your first raid so that your paladin can face the raid bosses with all bonuses active.
