Frequently Asked Questions

Who Can Use Magister's Regalia Set?

Any class can wear the set pieces, as there are no class restrictions. Blizzard designed this Tier 0 set for mages. Priests and warlocks will also get Intellect, spell power, and mana bonuses from this armor. We recommend it for mages before Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit.

Where Does Magister's Regalia Set Drop?

Set pieces drop in Scholomance, Stratholme, and Blackrock Spire. The final bosses of these three dungeons in Western Plaguelands, Eastern Plaguelands, and Blackrock Mountain drop Crown, Robes, and Leggings. Another five pieces drop from other bosses and trash mobs. We recommend starting your farming in Scholomance, where you can receive Crown, Mantle, and Gloves.

What Level Do You Need for Magister's Regalia Set?

The set pieces require levels 52 through 58. Their highest level requirement (level 58) is for Robes. But Blizzard designed Scholomance and Stratholme for groups of level 58-60 characters. A mage at the cap wears this armor until the 10-player Barrow Deeps raid, which features eight bosses.

How Do Regions and Rulesets Work?

Each ruleset within a region works as a single shared world without realms. Forever divides players into US (together with Oceania) and EU regions. A character does not switch between rulesets or factions. That's why you place the order for a single region, ruleset, and faction of your character.

Do I Need to Play Myself?

You don't need to fight bosses yourself. The leader will give instructions on Discord if you want to participate in battles alongside Rank 1 boosters. You'll collect loot from bosses into your own bags. The AFK format requires selecting the AFK option on the service page and checking the box when you place your order.

Magister Set Pieces by Dungeon

Each item of the Tier 0 mage set has its own source in Plaguelands or Blackrock Mountain dungeons. Their chances also vary. Blizzard does not publish these figures for Forever. That's why our team plans to farm based on the drop rates for each piece from Classic:

  • Crown - drops from Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance with a 13.84% chance. This boss drops the helms for all nine T0 sets.
  • Robes - General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire drops them with a 9.74% chance.
  • Leggings - each kill of Baron Rivendare in Stratholme gives a 13.30% chance to drop these leggings.
  • Mantle - this item has the highest chance in the set (18.81%). It drops from Ras Frostwhisper in Scholomance.
  • Boots - players go to Hearthsinger Forresten in Stratholme to farm them. Their drop chance is 12.95%.
  • Gloves - the BoE binding allows players to trade these gloves. Trash mobs in Scholomance have a 3.86% chance to drop them.
  • Bindings - these bracers also have a BoE binding. Their drop chance from trash mobs in Blackrock Spire is 2.99%.
  • Belt - the rarest item of the set, with a chance of 1.52%. This BoE belt drops from trash mobs in the same three dungeons.

Players spend the most time farming BoE pieces from trash mobs. The drop rates for these items in Classic never exceeded 3.86%. Trash mobs in Dire Maul and Blackrock Depths also dropped Belt, Bindings, and Gloves. Our team clears the trash in Scholomance, Stratholme, and Blackrock Spire alongside your character on every run to the bosses that drop the main set pieces. This saves you from having to find a group just to farm one Belt.

Magister's Regalia Changes in Forever

Blizzard has adjusted the mage set bonuses in World of Warcraft Forever to the 2/3/4/5/6-piece thresholds. The mage now unlocks all effects at six pieces. This allows you to fill two free slots with other items, such as Robe of the Archmage. The three-piece bonus gives +18 to spell power and healing. We consider this system more beneficial for mages than the 2/4/6/8-piece thresholds in Classic.

Mage Pre-Raid BiS Before Raids Open

There is no definitive list of mage pre-raid BiS gear in Forever. We attribute this to the nine new dungeons and more than 600 new recipes. But Blizzard has left the craftable Robe of the Archmage for mages with Tailoring 300 unchanged. This BoP robe provides +40 spell power and +12 Int. Mages also gain 1% critical strike chance and 375-625 mana from its Use effect during boss encounters in Barrow Deeps or Hyjal Summit.

Black Market Auction House (BMAH) offers an alternative to loot drops. This auction listed Crown, Robes, and Leggings from the mage Tier 0 set, with bids from 400 g. Another player may outbid you before the auction ends. Our team will farm Crown, Robes, and Leggings during a run alongside your character. You won't have to save up gold for each bid.
