Where Is Razorfen Downs?

Razorfen Downs sits in the southern part of The Barrens, near the border with Thousand Needles. The dungeon entrance is northeast of the Great Lift. Horde characters fly to Camp Taurajo and travel south from there. We recommend that Alliance players form a group before leaving Ratchet or Theramore, since the route passes through Horde territory.

How Long Does It Take to Clear Razorfen Downs?

A full clear of WoW Forever Razorfen Downs takes a group of the right level about an hour. Escorting Belnistrasz from the Murder Pens to the idol at the entrance and clearing the camps outside for A Host of Evil extend this run. The operators will coordinate the start time with you when you book.

What Do I Need Before the Run?

Your character needs to pick up RFD quests before the run starts. Alliance players can get Bring the Light from Archbishop Benedictus in Stormwind from level 39. Andrew Brownell in Undercity gives Bring the End to Horde players from level 37. Your character must make their own way to the entrance, as neither the Group Finder nor the meeting stones teleport players to the dungeon.

Does Ragglesnout Spawn in Every Run?

Ragglesnout does not appear in every run. This level 40 rare boss stands at one of three locations in the Spiral of Thorns after Glutton. Our team checks each of them on the way to Amnennar the Coldbringer's area. Boosters kill Ragglesnout when he spawns for a chance at loot for your character.

Razorfen Downs Quests in WoW Forever

Razorfen Downs quests give the character the bulk of the experience for this dungeon. Blizzard has reduced the XP from mobs in World of Warcraft Forever dungeons. The developers have shifted this XP to one-time quests that offer a bonus on top of the usual reward. A character can complete each of these quests once. That's why a repeat run after turning in all quests yields less XP than quests outside dungeons.

The group also does not receive experience from a mob if one of the players is many levels higher than it. Our WoW Forever boost completes your faction's quest objectives in a single dungeon run. So your character receives experience from quests even in a group with our boosters.

Boosters kill 24 mobs at the entrance for A Host of Evil and Ambassador Malcin for the Horde quest An Unholy Alliance. Belnistrasz in the Murder Pens gives two more quests (Scourge of the Downs and the escort quest Extinguishing the Idol). Our group leader starts the escort to the idol at the entrance after you turn in Scourge of the Downs. The game won't let you complete Extinguishing the Idol without this step. You won't need to assemble a five-player group for the Belnistrasz escort, clearing the camps at the entrance, or the fight against Amnennar the Coldbringer.

Razorfen Downs Loot Tables

Blizzard has revised the loot in all dungeons and upgraded boss drops to Rare quality. Amnennar the Coldbringer provides the main portion of Razorfen Downs loot, with five such items. Among them are Robes of the Lich (43 ilvl) for casters and Icemetal Barbute for plate classes. Healers will appreciate Deathchill Armor from the same boss. This gives the character a chance to upgrade their gear in a single run.

That same rework raised Glutton's Cleaver (from Glutton) from Uncommon to Rare. The game unlocks transmog for each drop for the entire group. You can collect item appearances without having to win a roll.

Razorfen Downs Level and Master Spelunker

Razorfen Downs is a dungeon in The Barrens for characters of levels 37-46. The game allows players to enter from level 25. A party faces five bosses there and encounters the rare mob Ragglesnout (though not on every run).

The final boss (Amnennar the Coldbringer) is the first on the list for the Master Spelunker Legacy achievement. Master Spelunker requires killing the last bosses of 17 dungeons for levels 46-60. This Legacy achievement grants one Legacy Point to all characters on the account, except for Hardcore characters. That's why defeating Amnennar the Coldbringer in our run brings you closer to this reward.
