WoW Forever Legacy System and Rewards

WoW Forever Legacy System and Rewards

The WoW Forever legacy system is an account-based progression system with a shared total across your entire Battle.net account. Your account receives WoW Forever legacy points for 65 challenges across six categories that range from class and profession levels to dungeons, raids, and PvP ranks. Each character spends up to 16 of them on perks from three trees that suit their own goals. The reward track ranges from a toy for 15 points to the Spectral Bear mount for 55. Your account receives the final reward on the track with level-60 alts of other classes.

WoW Forever Legacy System Explained

WoW Forever Legacy System Explained

Legacy is the account-wide horizontal progression system in Forever that consists of three parts: Legacy Challenges, perk trees, and the reward track. Each of the 65 challenges across six categories gives the account one point. The score is common to all characters on a Battle.net account outside of Hardcore mode. There is no in-game tab for WoW Forever achievements. The system window takes its place and holds both challenges with points and achievements for exploring zones without points.

Blizzard built the World of Warcraft Forever legacy system around leveling up alts of other classes and professions from level 1 to 60. Deaths in Hardcore mode would send players back to low-level zones. The Legacy system replicates this cycle without permadeath. A single character can unlock all the system's bonuses.

How to Unlock the Legacy System

Your first Legacy point unlocks the system. Most players earn it at level 25 with their starting character. The same access comes from 150 skill in any crafting profession or from the entire world map that one character has explored.

The system window opens by default with the Y key or via the shield icon in the menu. Its interface has three tabs: Rewards, Challenges, and Trees. A new challenge highlights the system icon in blue and keeps the highlight even after you spend points in any of the character's three trees. You can remove the highlight with a click on that challenge in the Legacy Challenges tab.

Earned and Spendable Points

An account earns up to 65 WoW Forever legacy points. A character can spend no more than 16 of these during the current content phase. Each character has its own system limit. Spending on the main character does not take anything from the alt, which distributes the same points across its three trees.

A character without alts can earn up to 29 points. PvP contributes 12 of these. Anything above 16 advances the reward track. Our team tops up this total with a pre-packaged bundle in the Legacy Points Boost if your account lacks alts. The account unlocks the track rewards along with these points.

Legacy Points on Hardcore

WoW Forever Hardcore maintains its own score in the Legacy system. Points and challenges from other rulesets do not carry over there. A Hardcore character does not use Legacy rewards from other rulesets either. But the game counts every challenge your character has completed on Hardcore toward the Normal, PvP, and both Roleplay rulesets.

You cannot complete PvP challenges on Hardcore. That's why Hardcore has 12 unique challenges. Our team completes a Hardcore challenge of your choice in the WoW Forever Hardcore Legacy Challenges Boost, with permadeath in mind. All rulesets on the account receive one point for this.

How to Earn Legacy Points

How to Earn Legacy Points

An account receives WoW Forever legacy points, one for each of the 65 challenges such as class or trade skill levels, PvP ranks, or dungeon clears. The six categories of WoW Forever legacy challenges yield the following score:

CategoryPointsRequirements
Classes27Levels 25, 45, and 60
Tradeskills18Skill levels 150, 225, and 300
Player vs. Player12Ranks, reputations, and Field of Honor
Adventure2World map and Lord Valthalak
Dungeons3Final bosses of all dungeons at levels 15–25, 26–45, and 46–60
Raids3All bosses in Hyjal Summit, Barrow Deeps, and Onyxia's Lair

Classes and professions account for 45 out of 65 points in the system. That's why alts are the main source of the score and rewards. A single character without alts gets the most from PvP, where ranks, reputations, and Field of Honor weeks give 12.

Class Legacy Challenges

Each of the nine classes gives three points to the account. The tiers carry the class name: Novice Druid at level 25 and Experienced Druid at level 45. Master Druid (the third tier) comes at level 60. A second Druid on the same account doesn't contribute anything, because the game counts the class tier once across all characters. An alt of a different class raises the score.

This alt reaches the Novice tier as early as level 25. The leveling guide for levels 1–60 shows the quest route. Our Class Legacy Challenges Boost completes the required tier for any class. The WoW Forever Alt Bundle levels up the second and third characters of the new classes from level 1 to 60 for their challenges.

Tradeskill Legacy Challenges

Six crafting professions each give three points. The account unlocks the Journeyman and Expert tiers at 150 and 225 skill points in a profession on any of its characters. The Artisan tier is unlocked at 300. The list begins with Alchemy, Blacksmithing, and Enchanting. Engineering, Leatherworking, and Tailoring follow the same progression.

Gathering professions (Herbalism, Mining, Skinning) and secondary professions (Cooking, First Aid, Fishing) do not count toward the total, even at 300 skill points. A character can earn up to six points from trades because they can hold two main professions. All six professions up to Expert are worth 12 points. This set requires a minimum of three level-20 characters. The Tradeskill Legacy Challenges Boost brings one profession up to the required level.

PvP Legacy Challenges

PvP gives the account 12 points across three groups. The five ranks of the Honor System range from Rank 3 (Sergeant) to Rank 14 (Grand Marshal or High Warlord). Each rank gives one point.

Reaching Exalted with your faction in Alterac Valley and the Darkspear Islands gives two Master of challenges. Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch give two more. The final group consists of the Week 4, Week 7, and Week 10 quests in the Field of Honor Journey. Ranks 13 and 14, along with Exalted in Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch, will take the most time. Our team completes all 12 challenges—from ranks to Field of Honor weeks—in the PvP Legacy Challenges Boost with a single order from a pilot.

Explore Azeroth and Lord Valthalak

The Adventure category gives two points. The Explorer challenge is earned when a character on the account unlocks the map for all zones in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor and earns the Explore Azeroth achievement. Explore Eastern Kingdoms, Explore Kalimdor, and zone-specific achievements do not count toward this.

Lord Valthalak Laid to Rest requires the Dungeon Set 2 quest chain from An Earnest Proposition to Saving the Best for Last. It culminates in summoning and killing Lord Valthalak in Upper Blackrock Spire. The path to Tier 0.5 sets is one of the longest for just a single point. Both challenges are unlocked by the Explorer Legacy Challenge Boost and the Lord Valthalak Laid to Rest Boost.

Spelunker and Raid Challenges

Dungeons and raids each give three points. Novice Spelunker counts the final bosses of six level 15–25 dungeons and shares progress across all characters on your Battle.net account. Experienced Spelunker requires ten dungeons at levels 26–45. Master Spelunker collects 17 dungeons at levels 46–60. The six Novice-tier dungeons can be completed in a single order of the Novice Spelunker Boost.

All 13 bosses in Hyjal Summit give the Conqueror of the Wilds challenge. Conqueror of the Deeps (eight bosses in Barrow Deeps) and Conqueror of the Lair (Onyxia) give two more. World of Warcraft Forever raids are available from December 9, 2026. That's why your account completes this category last. The Conqueror of the Wilds Boost, Conqueror of the Deeps Boost, and Conqueror of the Lair Boost give a full raid clear with your character.

WoW Forever Legacy Talents and Trees

WoW Forever Legacy Talents and Trees

WoW Forever legacy talents sit in three trees (Adventure, Professions, and Resourcefulness) and do not spend class talent points. Each tree contains seven perks and two empty slots. Some perks require five or ten points in the tree. Others require the max rank of a perk higher up the branch.

A WoW Forever legacy tree can hold up to 25 points. The character limit in the current content phase allows access to perks with a threshold of ten in one tree of the player's choice.

Adventure Tree Perks

Adventure perks for leveling and the open world give the following effects:

PerksRanksEffect at Max RankRequirements
Well Rested5+20% to rested XP accumulation and capnone
Thrill of Adventure55% Health and Mana per killnone
High Alert2Detects stealth as if two levels higherfive in the tree
Talented5Talents available at level 5 instead of 10, cap at 51five in the tree and five Well Rested
Field Guide3Camp item cooldowns 25% shorterfive in the tree
Field Medicine2Recently Bandaged duration 10 seconds shorterfive in the tree
Frequent Flier1Flight paths 50% cheaper and 20% fasterten in the tree and three Field Guide

Talented requires five ranks of Well Rested. That's why Talented at full rank costs a character ten points out of 16, together with the required Well Rested ranks in the Adventure tree. The character gains all talents by level 55 instead of 60 in return.

Professions Tree Perks

Professions perks for crafting, gathering, and gold give the following bonuses:

  • Working Overtime increases the skill-up chance by 20% in all professions, even Lockpicking.
  • Gathering with Bountiful Harvest yields 100% more Scarce materials from Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning.
  • Bartering reduces merchant prices by 10%.
  • Turning in a crate with Performance Bonus gives a 15% chance to earn 100% more Merchant's Favor. The guide on how to farm Merchant's Favor covers these crates.
  • Master Chef and Luremaster give a 50% chance to receive an extra dish and an extra fish with bait.
  • Dedicated Study adds +1 to the lowest profession once every 23 hours. A character with all professions at level 300 receives 2–4 Elemental Essence instead.

Resourcefulness Tree Perks

Resourcefulness helps with buffs, wipes, and farming reputation and Honor. Reinforce reduces durability loss upon death by 40%. The Quick and the Dead speeds up your spirit form by 10% and makes useful spells free for 2 minutes after resurrection. Reagent Economy removes the need to purchase reagents and materials for Tier 1 camp structures if the character has ten points in the tree and two ranks of The Quick and the Dead.

Gourmand and Permanence extend food buffs, long-duration group class buffs, and camp rest bonuses by 100%. Permanence requires three ranks of Gourmand and five points in the tree. For Great Honor and Diplomat each give an additional +10% to Honor and reputation.

Best Legacy Perks to Pick

The first points among the WoW Forever legacy perks go to Thrill of Adventure. Five ranks of this perk restore 5% health and mana for each kill and reduce downtime between fights while leveling. The four builds split the point allocation as follows:

  • The pure leveling build takes five ranks each of Thrill of Adventure, Well Rested, and Talented, plus one point in Field Medicine.
  • The professions build takes five ranks each of Thrill of Adventure and either Working Overtime or Bountiful Harvest, with the remaining points in Field Guide, Field Medicine, and Frequent Flier.
  • PvP players need For Great Honor and Diplomat on battlegrounds or Thrill of Adventure, High Alert, and Field Medicine in world PvP.
  • Dungeons and raids require Reinforce, Gourmand, and The Quick and the Dead, with the remaining points allocated to Reagent Economy and Diplomat.

We recommend keeping your leveling build on alts. A level 60 character does not receive anything from Talented and transfers WoW Forever legacy talents to Professions or Resourcefulness.

Legacy Rewards and Spectral Bear

Legacy Rewards and Spectral Bear

The WoW Forever legacy rewards track counts all points your account has earned with any of its characters outside of Hardcore mode. Spending points in talent trees does not affect rewards. Rewards are issued by Innkeeper Wiley in Ratchet. The four rewards in this track are unlocked at the following thresholds:

RewardPointsTypeWhat It Grants
Holstered Replica Ironforge Air Rifle15toya toy that stuns players during a shootout
Spectral Bear Cub25companiona companion from the Forever cinematic
Spectral Bear Tabard40tabarda cosmetic item marked as Unique
Reins of the Spectral Bear55mountaccount-wide mount

Our team tops up the points for any reward in the WoW Forever Legacy Points & Rewards section. The Holstered Replica Ironforge Air Rifle Boost, Spectral Bear Cub Boost, and Spectral Bear Tabard Boost bring your account total up to the threshold for the desired reward.

How to Get the Spectral Bear

Reins of the Spectral Bear give the WoW Forever Spectral Bear mount for 55 points. There are no other sources for this mount outside the Legacy system. This BoP item unlocks the mount at 100% speed for all characters on the account who are level 60 or higher and have Journeyman Riding. The training budget breakdown shows how much gold you need for riding.

The mount requires 55 out of 65 points. There is a buffer of ten challenges to skip. We recommend skipping raids, the Lord Valthalak quest chain, and Rank 14, as these are the most time-consuming activities for a single point. Level 60 alts are still necessary to earn the 45 class and profession points. The Spectral Bear Mount Boost brings the account total to 55 with several pilot boosters and gets the mount from Innkeeper Wiley.

Fastest Way to 16 Points

Fastest Way to 16 Points

The first goal is to receive 16 World of Warcraft Forever legacy points, because the character won't spend any more in the current phase. A route with alts collects them in five steps:

  1. The main character at level 60 receives three class challenges.
  2. Two alts of other classes reach Novice at level 25.
  3. Rank 3 in the Honor System gives another point.
  4. Four professions up to Expert add eight more.
  5. Novice Spelunker and Experienced Spelunker complete the route.

A more realistic option gives nine points on the main character. These come from reaching level 60, raising a profession to Expert, and reaching Rank 7 along with the leveling dungeons. A pair of level 25 alts with professions earns the rest up to 16. The WoW Forever Character Leveling Boost 1–60 from our WoW Forever boosting services levels up the main character through quests to complete the three class tiers.

Route on One Character

Blizzard has set the limit so that a character without alts earns all 16 points in five steps:

  1. Leveling to level 60 completes three class challenges.
  2. Rank 7 in the Honor System grants two rank challenges.
  3. Two professions at the Artisan level give another six.
  4. The character completes all three Spelunker challenges in leveling dungeons and at level 60.
  5. The fifth step requires two raids or both Adventure challenges.

Get Legacy Points Faster

Get Legacy Points Faster

The account spends the most time on level-60 alts, professions up to Artisan, and PvP ranks. The first Legacy Points Boost pack, worth 15 points, gives the Novice and Journeyman tiers. The second pack, worth 33 points, raises classes to Experienced and professions to Expert, along with the Explorer, Novice, and Experienced Spelunker tiers. The 57-point pack brings classes to Master, professions to Artisan, and PvP to Rank 13.

Account track rewards are unlocked along with these points, ranging from an Air Rifle in any package to a tabard and mount in the 57-point package. Operators work as pilots and do not repeat challenges that the account has already completed. Each service counts the challenge account-wide according to the WoW Forever Legacy System rules. Separate challenges are listed in the WoW Forever Legacy Challenges Boost section. All Legacy services are collected by WoW Forever Legacy Boost.

WoW Forever Legacy System FAQ

WoW Forever Legacy System FAQ

Can you reset Legacy talents in WoW Forever?

A class trainer resets a character's perks for gold. Each character on the account can rework their talent trees and allocate the same points toward new goals, such as professions after level 60. Blizzard has not disclosed the cost of the reset or how it will increase with repeated resets.

Will the Legacy Point cap increase?

Blizzard will raise the system's 16-point cap in new content phases. The studio also promises additional talent trees in the future. New perks will first take two empty slots labeled "To be added in a future update" in each of the current Adventure, Professions, and Resourcefulness trees.

Do Legacy perks work in dungeons and raids?

Resourcefulness perks work in dungeons and raids. Reinforce and The Quick and the Dead save the group time and gold on repairs and rebuffs after each wipe. Thrill of Adventure and Field Medicine do not work in dungeons and raids.

Does Legacy create a power gap?

The system's 16-point cap prevents a power gap from forming. The Talented perk does not raise the talent cap above 51. Track rewards give cosmetics and a mount without any in-game advantage. Blizzard implemented this cap so that new players on their first character can catch up in power to experienced players with level-60 alts.

How long does the Spectral Bear take?

The Spectral Bear takes several hundred hours of gameplay. This time is given to level up level-60 alts and craft professions to the Artisan tier, without which you cannot reach the 55-point threshold. Many players will obtain the bear after completing new challenges in content updates.

Do Legacy Points reset each season?

Seasons do not reset Legacy Points. Each challenge grants one point once. Your account's total grows from season to season. Blizzard describes Legacy as account-wide progress that spans years and promises new challenges and track rewards with every content update.
